I realize that this is early season, but couldn't the rifles have done SOMETHING between about 8:58 and 9:18 ???? Some spins, some tick-tocks (or whatever they're called now, I'm old), or SOMETHING. while they're standing front & center?
I love it! It's good to know I'm not the only grammar police out there! I think there's only about 3 people in the country that know how to properly write that sentence, and apparently we're 2 of them!
OK so Cavies are black and gray, Vanguard is blue, Bluecoats are red and Boston picked every color. Got it! This show has potential but the opener needs a whole lot of something before it makes sense and actually builds into the brass hit.
hard disagree with your opinion, the drums are bringing so much energy into that first hit (especially the way they cut the electronics right on the last shot!). i think it makes sense that they put that work / responsibility onto the percussion - as always, they are the strongest section by far
@@anthonyhalstead39257:31, they drop it right before the big note, which got them all discombobulated, so the one tuba player turned towards the audience before everyone else
The no props is actually part of the show theme itself. "A vagabond needs only what he can carry on his back." You can see the hornline all carrying what look to be rifle bags(?) slung over the head and shoulder. This was also likely a financial/logistical decision made to help ease SCV back on tour since they had to opt out last season (over finances).
@@elizabethjmanzano I am mixed between cry and pride simultaneously, so proud the SCV is back on the field again and seeing their spirit. and for those riffle bags, God the message is there. Good job SCV, I love you moreeee, you don't need to put any props there to bring a great great show. God bless you all SCV.
It's kinda cool when Boston plays Spanks, because they're almost as good as the SCV lines that played it before them. This... is just not good. Also, can someone tell these guys to choke BACK on the stick? What's with the orchestral glockenspiel grip?!?
I think that Academy and the Boston Crusaders should coming together and play the "Spanks" warm up together some time this year when they're at the same show; at least the parts that they both play.
