Depends on what you're studying! If you're looking for more professional degrees (e.g., business, engineering, architecture, dance, communications, etc.) definitely come to USC because you will basically be guaranteed a job after graduation. If you are STEM, you will probably have better luck at UCLA or Berkeley. However, UCLA socially is a much better environment than Berkeley (even if you're introverted, it will still have more opportunities to find community). That being said my ranking would put USC and UCLA over Berkeley. And I would say evaluate UCLA vs. USC based on what you personally want out of your academics/career because the two socially are pretty well matched.
Thx a lot for the video. Takaways: 1. First heard about TO, decided to do it 2. College is hard, calm down and be ez on urself. Everything is a progress. 3. Try new things, meet new ppl, get involved:) Be open-minded, even if you meet people who don't end up clicking with u it's fine just be friendly.
So true. College is gonna be clique-y at first because students fresh out of high school want to feel comfort in a community right away. Be tenacious, friendly, and unapologetically you! Your people will find you.
Congrats on getting into USC! I graduated from USC in the 90s when it was a prestigious school, but not nearly what it is today. While it’s around 23-25 out of 443 elite colleges today, it was 51st when I became a freshman. Still very good, but not what it is today. And for anyone who talks about how dangerous USC is, you don’t know what it was like in the 90s with the riots, earthquakes, etc. it is extremely much more beautiful and welcoming than when I went there... I wish you the best in all your studies and go make a dent in the universe! Fight on! ✌🏻
