Fun fact: the 2-8-2 locomotive wasn’t developed until 1898. 192 was built in 1942, 44 years after the first mikado was developed. 192 would technically be a MacArthur, not a Mikado, as she was built during World War Two. All 2-8-2s built during that time period between 1941 and 1945 are generally referred to as MacArthurs.

Now that is a beautiful whistle. I just wish you could have gotten a few more recordings of it.
