Great video! What kind of lenses do you have in your goggles? When the ground was grey and had the shadows across the ground, it looked like it would be hard to see any transitions.
@@stuntmanmike7777 haha! we were talking about that while we were out there. The sun coming in and laying shadow stripes all over the trails. It’s brutal. I run clear lenses, I have a had time adjusting to changes in light and find that clears just work better for me. There may be better options though.
I'd find climbing is a challenge. That's what I get out of it. Downhill is fun but gravity does most of the work. You certainly have to mentally focus a lot more going downhill but uphill is just like challenging yourself
@@snowman22ism yeah the down hill is still a challenge. I thought I’d be way more comfortable than I am. Find myself not looking ahead as much as I should as far too worried about what’s happening directly around the bike. I know this is a lack of confidence in knowing what the bikes gonna do.
I got my son a new cheetah 125 and yes. I did the front shocks(same ones you got). rear wheel spacers and now thinking she needs a carb. After sitting this winter it starts only when giving it gas the the single screw on the carb doesn't do anything currently.
What a rubbish video, you can't see much at all because the cameras are not in the right places plus I think you used rubbish cameras, check next time before you put a useless video up..... NO GOOD
They do work, certainly helps with your wrists getting beat up. They likely help with vibration some- but the YZ is such a vibey bike. The other option would be the MAKO 360 which I prefer as I can run whatever bars I want.
Still holding up strong, and this poor bike has been launched or dropped 100’s of times! The flags have been some Cycra flags for some of the time though as well
How do you like the front brake? I found it real awful having had Brembo in the past. Also the bike still feels real tall compared to my beta 300. Cheers for awesome videos. 💪💪
From someone dealing with a hard clutch pull right now on a yz250, I appreciate this video. Definitely gunna order this up. I’ve also done a new cable and I oil it frequently. I did the basket first as you did lol.
I’ve ridden some 6500’s, but nothing serious, so I don’t think I can give a good comparison, I will say that I loved these out of the box, haven’t even touched a clicker. This is the only time I’ve had zero complaints about a stock suspension.
I had a lapse is judgement last season(well, I did have my reasons then, like I was going to stop riding enduro trails) and sold my XCw for a DRz400s. After a short while of looking for dirt roads riding my Crew pulled me back to enduro and I realized I made a dumb move.. The DRz, with a few tweaks and good tires is very capable off-road, but its no enduro and its a heavy bitch. At this point I'm very close(even though I said I wouldn't) to pulling the trigger on a new 2024 TE 250 or 300 ... To make matters worse, the local dealer has them on sale...
Well, I didn’t think you’ll be disappointed with the TBI bikes. They’re a much better experience than the TPIs. (In my opinion). This suspension out of the box is very good. I was comparing it to my buddy’s Ravens inserts and National shock set up and it’s not terribly far off. What made you want to stop riding enduro stuff?
@@PlushEnduro ... A strong case of Vaginitis....🤣 I made a midlife career change and the fear crept in that I was going to get hurt from riding hard while I was training and blow this opportunity. I felt riding dirt roads would be safer and easier on me... But that didn't last long and I'm back on the trails. Me and most of the Crew will be out in Moab again at the end of the month.
if the stock clutch has a jitter spring immediately either buy a new clutch kit or add a plate and delete the jitter spring. That spring will kill all feel and slip in the clutch.
@@PlushEnduro its a small cup spring washer all the way to the inside of the clutch pack. Do some research. Sometimes you can take it out and just add another stock clutch disc. They kill all feel in the clutch.
I’m in Plymouth mass I have hundreds of miles of trails near my property, some of the finest mass has to offer I would love to give you a tour of some coastal rippin, it’s nothing like the Berkshire’s
Did this on my 2003 , and notice that on the carb the connection to the gas tank sits on top , and somehow the gas how to flow upwards? Any tips /tricks
I'm getting pretty serious arm pump from my TE510. Might be time to start looking for any alternative springs and a new lever because -20% sounds fantastic to me.
I just did the exact build on a '13 that i got as a project bike(not running), i whent the same route with the cylinder did some porting and cleaned up for improved flow, i did a WR transmission swap, i got an APEX head with the XC dome(came with the bike), put on it like 3hrs of break in and i love it plenty of low end power and 3rd gear is great for sluging it on the hills, cant wait to full break in so i can fine tune the jets and unleash all of its power, great video keep up the good work brother 💪💪👍👍
Apart from the suspension for me the transmission does a big difference, there are kits, or if you got very good mechanical skills you can do a WR transmission thats what i got on mine, but another thing is there is a big support of aftermarket parts to help with the conversion to a woods bike and that is a good thing
That place looks so fun. Looks like Waldo fire remnants but I could be wrong. I really wish Salt Lake and Utah County had riding like this already open. If the weirdos always get their way we will have to drive 1-2 hours to go ride anywhere.
@@PlushEnduro I thought it was fantastic. You get to see the bike. The way it reacts to what you are riding over...the exact terrain you are on....get a great sense of your speed too. I watch a ton of bike vids, and this angle was the best I've ever seen.
