I wonder if you can help. I live in Canada and think to have a snow removal/landscaping business. I was wondering if it is worth doing. As a kid growing up,I do remember a time where it snowed every year 3 months straight with lake a efects snow and still more snow. I am looking for a f250 with a boss plow and have a salt spreader put on. Is it worth it still.
This is the first brake change related video I've seen that addresses the crosswind stabilization that NO ONE seems to know about. Most people assume it's related to adaptive cruise control if you have distronic or just regular ESC/traction control when turning the vehicle.
The disks are really good, i have the 3" HD2 the thing is amazing as far as durability and longevity is concerned. I bought mine at a country fair near my house, mad dog has been there every year since i can remember. I finally wore it out after cutting and grinding through what seemed to be miles of steel and rust. They replaced it no questions asked. The drill bits do suck though. They are high speed high pressure bits and do better on a strong drill press cranked up as fast as it will spin. They can't be compared to a twist drill. But under high pressure will drill a hole through a broken off tap.
Super encouraging video! Tons of enthusiasm and good advice keep it coming! Im in my third season of lawn care/landscaping and hoping to get into snow this season. I have two clients interested so far. One im not sure how to do. Small narrow 3 car length driveay in a tight packed side street and not much room to plow the snow.
Absolutely crazy that you got this for 31,000 out the door. Boy has the market gone insane. Here we are in mid 2024, where prices are starting to drop back down. But I just looked at a 2017 with 13,000 miles on it and they want 34K.
Appreciate this video! I saw some YT short showing the demo and I was like "wow lifetime warranty on a bit how is that possible" and you answered every question-the cost of shipping both ways for a product that never worked in the first place would deter anyone from actually using it. Just wanted to leave a comment and let you know that your video was one of the first to pop up for me when I looked for reviews on here, and definitely cost them a sale. I hope this scratches your rage itch! I felt my pulse increase just listening to your story 😂
The best time to spray your vehicle with a rust inhibitor is after the winter in the spring. Your vehicle will be blocked with rust causing salt and moisture at this time, and that combined with the warmer weather wreaks havoc. Best to give her a good washing in the spring then spray the rust inhibitor.
I saw videos of these bits everywhere thinking they are great but I think i figured it out. This company has all these tests showcasing its performance in the different metals, tiles etc however they aren’t being honest whatsoever. I believe they swap all the metals for aluminum, and the so called porcelain for some cheap garbage tile. Their bits resemble masonry bits, they would not be able to cut so quickly into hardened steel and porcelain like their videos show. They drill through a hardened file in 5 seconds. That’s simply not possible, even a cnc grade metal bit wouldn’t be able to accomplish that and they have cooling systems, not to mention these claims with the bits don’t use any cutting oil. I think their grinder wheel might be legit but those bits are complete scams. If they wanna go out and charge 180 for bits they better at least be able to hold up to their claims. I don’t think companies should be allowed to advertise this bullshit.
I bought an undercarriage cleaner that connects to my electric power wash and it’s way better than taking it to the car wash since the car wash undercarriage doesn’t spray much. Also taking your car into a drive thru car wash with salt still on your car will scratch the paint
I did business with a local company that had been around 80 + years. It was the place I always went for glass. I had suspected that the owner died the family took over. Due to the change in attitude from the employees and their service. Turns out I was right. They went out of business after a few years. The problem is the family members that were left running the business didn't want to be there and didn't have the skin in the game that their elders had. They had no passion or desire for the business As the business starts to go down the drain, selling it becomes more difficult and the problem escalates until finally the doors are shut for good. It's really sad. I have seen it happen to food establishments more commonly. I didn't believe they are out to scam anyone, they just don't care and are not going to go to any extra effort to take care of you. It's done out of laziness and not some kind of trickery. Sad. That said, I have seen businesses taken over by family that do respect the efforts of their forefathers and do an excellent job with businesses. Sometimes they exceed their elders success.
Just replaced mine, thanks for the vid! My 02 didn't want to let go of the old alternator, took a bit of cursin and pryin. The belt is a bit tricky. I put clamps here and there to hold it on while I worked on it.
I have Fluid Film professionally treated annually. It is worth it - they use professional spray applicators and get all the nooks and crannies. First time treatment is extensive - inside fenders, doors, and body panels. Annual application is a touch up. A warranty comes with the treatment. Pittsburgh Oil Undercoating in Monroeville PA. They don't recommend high pressure spray to clean undercarriage - just a gentle water spray to clean underneath. A prime area to rust on that truck is under the plastic fender flairs. It would be a PITA, but would best to remove them and apply fluid film to areas underneath them.
I been snow blowing and using a walk behind plow making average $1300 a storm and now I’m in position where I have to buy a 4x4 and a plow because a lot more ppl asking me to do it for them. I’m wondering if it’s a good idea and weather I’ll be able to make more money and still pay for the new truck and maintenance. Please help lol
Sounds like you answered your own question. If you get a truck, you can do more driveways = more $$. Sure, an old truck will require maintenance, but it’s far cheaper than a new one and still does the job. Try to get some commercial accounts - walkways, small parking lots, stairways… liability areas require more attention. Have to be cleared at the smallest amounts, not just plowable amounts like driveways. And offer salting as a service, pretreat and post treated after every clearing… ALOT more money with commercial. Always reinvest in your business in order to grow. You’ll watch that 1300 go to 2500… 5,000… 8,000… OR, stay where you are and you’ll only ever make 1300. Good luck ! 👍🏼
I use hydraulic oil spayed on with a paint sprayer it’s cheap, and runs into every seem and crevice. Give her the oil boys old mrs rust she doesn’t like the oil!
