Sunday, we saw about 5 secs of the A-10 as sha flew south to north. 😊 never saw the F-18 or the KC-135 😢. We've been waiting for the F-22 but maintenance issues are working against the flight. The T-Birds are supposed to fly... announcement now...
@@KyleFilicky I dont mind adding, you really did a good job on the shot. FEW people know how challenging it is to shoot a moving object in telephoto. It should impress any game-playing kid, for pan-filming by hand is really a talent! If you see a crazy 66 year old blonde couple on e-scooters filming with 500mm lenses today, come say hi to me! Good luck! Sun's not up yet, but the fog at my house it soup!
@@KyleFilicky LOL, Sunday we parked up by the fire station off Edwards/Seacliff and rode down to the beach and could not see even the WATER! Yeah, mother nature! I too, know many put a ton of effort, and well, there is always "a skunk trip" to have in any reoccuring advenrtures! Next year, it will be ISO 64 sunny! LOL! Take care.
I’m a little disappointed in the crowd’s reaction, I mean this is not something everyone gets to see and it is phenomenal, especially when watching it live.
Thank you for posting the video. I've been to Burke for t j.g e airshow a few times but i was out on the boat for this one and directly under the high speed pass....excellent show❤ much respect for all who defend us on land and in air but sorry Thunderbirds....the Blue Angels are my favorite.
13:02 I was at the air show and I had to say, both those sonic booms knocked my socks off. Was paying attention to the first one, and the second one took me completely by surprise. Would hate to be the enemy my goodness
Was there Monday. Number 2 had to land at the beginning due to a mechanical issue. He got in Number 7 and rejoined the performance. Wonder if he hit a bird?
My gf (at the time) and I volunteered for our local air show down in Bloomington IL back in the mid 90's. Just so happens that was the year the Blue Angels picked us for one of their performances that season. As volunteers, we got to attend an appreciation meet-and-greet dinner with all the pilots the night before the show, and I and my gf got to meet each one individually. Not only are they awesome pilots, but they're also awesome human beings! Anyways, got to watch them perform both days of the show while working tending bar at one of the VIP tents (we were only serving beer, which I had to constantly sample myself, of course, in order to ensure the proper temperature was being maintained. . .). The cherry on top was that the Thunderbirds were performing up in Chicago that very same weekend, and after Sunday's show was over and most people had left, they did a low level fly-by of our airport on their way home in a "salute" to their Naval counterparts! One of the very few times both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds ever made an appearance at the same place on the same day! Anyways, that was an awesome weekend! ;)
Could see some of this while waiting in line at Progressive Field and also once we got to our seats. They flew very close to the field a few times which was awesome to see.
