Luffys dream is not to become the Pirate King. Its only a stepping stone to his real dream. And Shanks is one of the few individuals who knows about it since the beginning, and apparently Roger had the same dream. Just a fyi. Not that i disagree with your theory. Shanks would be awesome Villain or Hero.
At marine fort war, shanks meet up with kaido to stop him, how? kiado was to weak to join! He stay at wano for 15 plus year losing all his power and strengh, same why shanks lose his arm at the east blue for laziness! Shanks also told to kaido that one day the same dude that beat moria would beat you, enma would cut you and you can die in peace like you wanted. Just wait the end of the war coz shanks will stop it as a prove of his strengh! All this happen while drinking sake togheter and laugh!
Kaidos crew had the best weapons me. There were jail prisoners with posion bomb that could take down Katatkuri. Kaidos crew was the weakest since most of yhe member of kaidos crew were running around with defective DF and lacked the ability to use haki. Shanks crew has Haki but lacks Devil fruits and weapons . Big moms and whitebeards crew are very well balanced. Blackbeards crew lacks haki and numbers.
You are wrong…..way before eating the devil fruit he dreamed of becoming the king of pirates and we all doesn’t know what is luffy’s real dream is and second thing its not controlled its just a prophecy and the nika fruit chooses a person by similar charachters
The straw hat by it self has a really strong meaning to the one piece comunity that i dont think a betrayal from Odas story its gonna destroy it. But theres something cooking with Shanks.
people get mad because Shanks is no. 1, like you guys obviously never see the movie red and read the manga because on that Oda already show some of Shanks's crew strength.
It makes sense, because to have antagonists that ruled the world hundreds of years, you have to basically get rid of them. In fiction stories, the protagonists (Luffy and SH) cannot kill them, it’s not morally just for them to do so. Even knocking them out with a blow or apprehending them isn’t enough to disregard the main antagonist from the story. We need to physically see them drown to death, burned alive, or explode in a way where Luffy doesn’t directly kill them. OR the other option is to have the Antihero (Xebec) of the story that mediates between the protagonist and antagonist of the story and have him go on a killing spree against the tougher antagonists until he finally dies from the main villain antagonists. The Elders, Holy Knights, and CD’s seems like a lot of antagonists that you just don’t knock out and put in jail. You have to get rid of all of them out of the story, which means death.
They are beyond redemption as they have been raised morally croupt and do not see the problem that others see! I believe that when the croupt world government falls, all of their power and authority will VANISH, when the few protectors they have are gone and no Admirals come to protect them and their life of luxury vanishes, they will either die or end up becoming trash or even slaves to show them the suffering that they have infected upon others, as there is a LOT of hate towards them, some might become similar to Doffy but not able to actually do anything!! The only ones likely escape the purge to come will be the babies, the ones with the best chance of changing because they can be spirited away and raised properly. Look at Doffy's brother, for example: he was able to change, but it depends upon what age they are when they are taken!!
