Superb Video, I am surprised how you managed the Drone as well as Cycling.. Hope it was safe flying the drone... is Mini3pro or Mini4 Pro ?. I am planning in October. Thank you, it was a great guidance.
Just a little note to say thank you for this video. I went to Hanwoo Madang a few weeks ago and ordered exactly what you did. It was the best meat I've tried, beating Kobe for flavour! Since my last visit to Korea, I'm now in a wheelchair. Your video let me see inside and with Google Maps help, I was able to see if it would be suitable for me. The staff were lovely, storing my wheelchair and helping me up the step to the first table (with the help of Google Translate :) of course)
My husband and I are going to Seoul for the first time next week, and ordering/eating at restaurants has been one thing that has made me nervous. Not necessarily stressed about ordering from a menu since Papago is great, but more so nervous about not knowing how ordering works at different restaurants. Thank you for showing what to expect so I can feel more confident to try a place that isn’t just ordering on a kiosk 😊
Just as feedback: we came back from Korea last week and we tried the hanu place you mentioned. it was incredible! Thank you for the tip. Also, as a tip to anyone struggling with gluten intolerance that isn't tied to celiac disease: try Trimebutine maleate from a Korean pharmacy. This is what I got there and it worked beautifully as I wasn't able to 100% avoid gluten (soy sauce is in almost everything). Didn't have any issues, which is miraculous. :)
Thank you for your channel. We are a 2nd gen KoreAm husband with Korean wife and are coming to Korea and will borrow our niece's Korando camper and have been trying to find info on where and how to car camp in the fall in Korea. Our two adult kids will be with us for one week before to see Seoul and then return to America and then my wife n I will tour Korea in the camper last week of Nov/1st week Dec. Your channel helps us a lot for showing our kids Seoul and for orientation on camping. We look forward to more house-van videos and locations and information to camp outside the cities and where noone else goes. Though I am a bit nervous bc I do not speak Korean, my wife helps me a lot but still its good to see you and Yuj doing well in Korea as a team. Your vanlife will be good and we are sending good energy and prayers for your success and fulfillment!
Thank you for the insight. I visited Busan about 18 months ago to meet my fiance's family. Things didn't work out, but her family, the culture and the environment I experienced was the greatest I've ever been around. I dream of going back every day. Time to make it happen. Cheers.
Hey everyone - this video and the comments were a huge help to me in planning this aweome journey, so here's my 7-day itinerary in the hopes it can help someone else plan. For reference, I am 28M, pretty fit (gym 3x/week, walk everywhere, love hiking), live in Korea (no jet lag or culture shock), and had never done long-distance cycling prior to this. DAY 1, 85 km - Incheon to Yangsu DAY 2, 93km - Yangsu to Anseong DAY 3, 76km - Anseong to Munyeong (this day has the mega hill, hence lower distance. the hill is franly not that bad tho) DAY 4, 72km - Munyeong to Nakdanbo (the worst food/lodging of all these stops, but still totally fine) DAY 5, 78km - Nakdanbo to Daegu DAY 6, 100km - Daegu to Namji (has a very steep [but fairly short] hill, and a pretty long/steep forest section. My hardest day, especially considering the constant monsoon rains lol, but still manageable) DAY 7, 91km, Namji to Busan (almost all flat and scenic, great finisher) PLS NOTE I live in Daegu and had to work 2 days between day 5 and 6 of the ride. If I had not had those 2 days off, day 6 may have been pure suffering. If you had better luck with weather for the harder days, or were perhaps a more experienced cyclist, I think this itinerary would be extremely well balanced and enjoyable the whole way through. Even as it was I loved every second.
@@EnterAnders thanks so much for sharing your itinerary! Looks like a good one, and 7 days is a good length for people who are fit and still want to get some good sightseeing in. The 100km from Daegu to Namji is impressive especially, as I've always found those 3 steep hills harder than the famous Ihwaryeong. Great job and happy cycling!
@@lostthenfound Of course! Thank you for all your work on this video series, it was really invaluable. The passion and effort involved is very clear. 7 days was perfect - Chuseok + a weekend. I agree those 3 hills are the hardest part of the trip lol. Ihwaryeong is a challenge but the incline feels steady and doable. Then the ride down is so fun haha. Those late 3 felt a bit relentless
Congratz on the new van! Looking forward to your documenting the adventures that you'll be having ahead! I thought it was kinda funny that Yujin was wearing a 'Vans' shirt while showing off the van.
@@user-pg2kb5rd8c thank you so much for the support and encouragement! Haha we didn't even think of the link between the van and Vans shirt, but it worked out nicely! 🤣 Take care eh!
A super great and very helpful video, we were partly very lost regarding our planning for next year to South Korea that this video really helped us a lot. But I have one more question, did you book different airbnbs or hotels for these 7 days in seoul? or is there an airbnb you could recommend that is perfectly located where you can easily reach these different areas of seoul? <3
@@-erdbaereis-371 thanks so much! Really glad we could help out a bit. AirBnbs are a bit harder to judge, but if I were to pick a hotel I would personally choose the Toyoko Inn near Dongdaemun. However, a hotel near Anguk, Gwanghwamun, or Jonggak Stations would all be a little more central location wise.
Hey! A few weeks ago, I was in Korea and used your seven-day guide to Seoul to plan my trip. Just wanted to say thanks because it was super helpful! I ended up adding a few different neighborhoods that were off the beaten path based on your tips. It was awesome since I got to visit places with no other Westerners around, and I had the chance to chat with locals and try out new and different things. Wishing you all the best in this next chapter of your life! I really hope to return to Korea someday and plan more trips using your insights. Sending positive vibes and a big hug from Brazil! 🇧🇷🥰
@@WillianWelter-lt1bt wow thanks so much for sharing this! So happy you had a great time here, and really glad to hear that you got to experience some places off the beaten path too! They are a lot less predictable, but I'm sure it was worth the experience as it's always fun interacting with people here. Glad you had a great trip, and all the best eh! Would love to visit Brazil someday!
@@lostthenfound If you ever visit Brazil, you should check out my city! Florianópolis has amazing beaches, friendly locals, and it’s not too crowded with foreign tourists.
What a great video! I especially like that you included how long we could spend at some location. I find that very useful as I’m planning my first ever trip there
@@Miguel_Noether couldn't find any places where you grill the meat yourself, but this place grills it for you and then gives it to you on a hot plate. [네이버 지도] 육첩반상 대전은행점 대전 중구 중앙로164번길 26 naver.me/FxXtombm
Can i ask if most gd Samgyeopsal opens after 5pm? I really wanted to try ur sinchon recommendation for our 1st meal there but realised it opens only at 5pm...we are staying near cityhall station and dont see gd ones there. Do i key in Samgyeopsal on naver n others will pop up? Thank you so much.
@@buttlebe a lot of samgyeopsal places open at about 5pm. Too bad you couldn't try it out! On Naver it's better to use the Korean words, so copy and paste 삼겹살 and some places should pop up. All the best and good luck!
It's weird that I watched this because I don't usually have time or like to watch biographies 😂 however, I find myself drawn to the sincere voices of this kind and amazing couple. Something about them makes the audience want to support them. Fighting!
@@buttlebe thank you so much for the kind words and support! This was the start of us trying out RU-vid, so we still weren't making any money through the videos and had to be creative for sure! Haha
it will be a problem if one of you down with sickness. maybe its doable if only one you down and the other one can drive. but i imagine its not good to recover inside such a small space.
