Great upload, thank you. The presenter's style is very agreeable and keeps things on track very well. Beautiful Lis Sladen was such a class act and seems like she was a wonderful person.
One companion clearly loves Tom Baker, because he treated them well, the other hates him because he was awful to her. Such a capricious man it seems. They both had to bite their tongues at certain points I think.
Tom fell in love with Elisabeth during their time together on DW. Sadly, she was already married and he didn’t tell her while they were cast mates. Alternatively, Tom butted heads with JNT behind the scenes and it really bled into his acting during his final season. It was tense for everyone involved on set.
It's so interesting to hear Lis talk about how she didn't think Sarah should appear on screen as she got older but then we were blessed with SJA. Also, that nobody else should play her and now Sadie (her daughter) is playing her through Big Finish 🥲
I just found this by chance and I thought oh I'll just sit down for 5 minutes and watch a bit. I watched ALL OF IT!! Really nice q&a with them both. Technically the microphone situation should have been properly prepared but it's so long ago now so who cares. Lis should have taken her mic off the stand though and Sarah and the host could have shared one
That was lovely to watch. Ah, I miss Lis Sladen. So regret never meeting her. Funny when she said she wouldn't like anyone else to play Sarah, but that her daughter "has ideas about that", because of course her daughter has played her now on audio. I was at Sarah Sutton's first US convention she mentions at 23:45. Memorable in that it was so freakin hot and crowded that Sarah passed out and had to be carried out of the room past all of us waiting in line. Alarming! I think she was quite overwhelmed generally by us lol. Was very shy and quiet. Thanks again, for uploading this!
