I was also a good few hours into mine myself, after our group all dropped our doses simultaneously earlier - so i was reaching the peak on a tab n a half (~160ųg) , mind preparing to be melted 🤤 plus, keeping joints lit 🔥(buddy was supposed to have 2 tabs, 220ųg for me to drop, but 160ųg sufficed plenty). Kickass show man. Even tho they were a tad sloppier than when I saw them play at one of their stadium Tours 2 yrs ago, & Frusciante snapped His high E string at the start of the Intro jam (lol ik the feeling), they still killed it, had some wonderful improv jams between songs, & just the visuals alone… damn What a great night. Parcels was pretty groovy who i saw later for a minute, but had to go heavy for IDLES & lose my shit. That Pretty Lights Sunrise Set tho later into our trip was magical; seeing the sunrise & shifts between morning phases above the stage in the sky & staying strong holding it out w/ more smoke +a little Special K, just sucking me right back into the trip was crazy. Also kept smelling strong whiffs of DMT at both Pretty Lights sets; SOMEbody up there was gettin Extra Wild chiefin on a DMT cart most likely (dont ask how i know the smell & if it rly does work in a cart…it does 😉) Happy fuckin Roo, bro. Glad Tom is healthy and sober, I saw him in Vegas like 10-12 years ago and played blackjack with him and he was in bad bad shape, we ended up talking for a while about addiction & our respective battles--unfortunately we were having the convo while doing shots with each other. The thought I had at the end of that night always stuck with me, that I genuinely wondered if I was watching another musical inspiration/hero of mine kill himself in real time That said...I also think Tom's "Emo Tom" voice/singing cadence is never going away...it works for AvA, not quite for Blink, but beggars and choosers Great vid, Love those guys!
He’s not sober. Mark was talking about how Tom’ll probably be way too drunk before a show on live stream. Tom’s singing in his most natural voice possible in 2023. He tossed the true AvA voice for the Lifeforms album. Of course it’d be best if he were sober and not capable of abandoning his commitments and all, but that’s not any excuse for you to make the wrong choices. I doubt you have Tom’s resources to help you pick up the pieces anyway.
