Hey Ron Weasley, good to see your still posting about the transit situation in the mid country of Canada :) With love from America, Tent 10, Bunk 3 Bottom bunk
Technically, Ottawa doesn't have a "subway", and instead has an lrt. However, the service operated is very much like a subway, with full grade separation and very high frequencies. In downtown, Line 1 has 3 large, underground stations that are very similar to famous subways across the planet, like NYC. Thanks for your opinion though!
A couple of decades back I was in Vancouver and watching the seaplanes. There was a brisk cross- wind blowing and all a/c were taxing up to the outer mole prior to taking off. One poor pilot was caught out by a gust of wind which crippled his a/c at the spot where the main stay sat. The wing crumpled toward the tail. Tried reporting this to the a/c's owners but as I was living the next day they were not interested in hearing my tale. Was a pilot with some 800 hours up.
