Your presentation is not a TV show. I just want to listen to the message you deliver. It's controversial and depends on the audience. For example, scientists don't expect to listen to your stories.

I have the same tendency that you do. I tend to hear the advice of interrupting yourself from continuing the story, but I like that you are taking this all the way in the other direction and suggesting making the story more positive.
I like that you ask why. It is so easy for people to say, "Be your authentic self" and so much more of a challenge to ask why you aren't presenting that way (if you aren't). Food for thought from the blender!
