If AG isn’t important then it falls out that delta gap isn’t necessary and how can you rule out co-existing metabolic disorders, eg, coexisting elevated gap acidosis and metabolic alkalosis…,eg delta gap of, say 3..
Hi i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice , during a small opp. they gave me Suxamethonium chloride even after my mom warned them that both my gran and uncle had side effects from this drug. My heart stoped and my lungs collapsed, they tried to hide the fact that something went wrong and hours later after my mom went absolutely crazy they gave me back to her and send me home, she could not wake me enough and she said i stayed floppy so she rushed me to our pediatrician only to find out my one lung was still collapsed, i almost didn't make it, my question is should I be woried that my kids could potentially have the same reaction to this drug? Should I just get them tested incase or am i just being a worry pot for nothing?
2:20 To make them feel a little bit more relaxed. Like seriously this shit IV made me not care about anything within seconds. I was mildly panicking because of the big needle for the nerve block and the anaesthesist noticed and said: needs dormicum. I got shot and within seconds i started to feel totally alright. Didnt even feel the big needle, just a lil bit, not painful at all. I then watched the needle being put to the nerve on a screen and didn't care, it went in my upper leg and it was a 20 cm needle easily. He eventually saw me moving my mouth in "pain" and said give some fentanyl. The next 2 mins i was high af and didnt care about NOTHING they done.3 minutes before i was really anxious. Its a miracle. Finally they gave me propofol when the block was at the right position and i went completely unconscious. This whole procedure took less than a couple minutes, at most three. Insane
I had my gallbladder removed and my umbilical hernia fixed about 2 weeks ago and felt so horrible after surgery. Female, non smoker, motion sick, and i got something before surgery to calm me down. The PONV (which was written in my report) was probably worse than the pain after my operation 😭😧 Could u summarize how you would try to prevent PONV in a 40 y/o, non smoker? You have mentioned so many meds that i am confused now.
Did u got better? My mother underwent surgery for umbilical hernia 2 weeks ago and she is having continuous vomiting since then and the medicines are not helping, your experience in overcoming this will be of great help, please share any remedy u tried to overcome this.
