The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), the pioneer institution in maritime education in the country is supported by government funds with help from the shipping industry. It is the proud mother of the finest Filipino merchant marine officers. For many years, it has produced many master mariners, chief engineers, shipping executives, naval officers, excellent educators and trainors now serving in marine and maritime related industries in our country and abroad.
I wish the lyrics be posted too. We old graduates dot know the lyrics. PMMA Hymn shall be sang by heart of all graduates . Class 70 Capt Oscar D Orbeta
Sir/ma'am, I have question just for more encouragement and ideas. Is it possible for a cadet of PMMA to qualify in overseas or schooling to other countries specially for those who are in navy and coast guard cadets? Like they will be deployed to US Coast Guard or Navy to continue there journey as future officers?? I'm very curious if it is possible.

i am sorry, but it must be some kind of a dissapointment when coming on board of a foreign flag vessel having had your education with so much traditional bs that does not make you a better sailor and is the first thing you will have to forget about when becoming a merchant marine. such a waste
