This is why I love RU-vid comments. I discovered this song through a comment on a iron Maiden live performance of fear of the dark. I love RU-vid for this reason. Keep commenting awesome shit for others to discover guys!
I said it and I’ll say it again. Compared to 2011 and 2016 lives of this song, this just so much better because of the audience, ambience, vocals and sound overall.

@@patriklundsholm514 I remember the crowd doing a back and forth of Spider Schwein and Helga quite regularly. I had a Canadian flag on me so I got a lot of "Blame Canada" thrown my way.
I find in kinda annoying when live singers stop to let the crowd do some. Yeah, I get that they are putting on a show, but I'd rather hear Hansi sing it than the crowd.
I find it an extremely humbling way of integrating the audience - and when the audience performs like they do every time Blind Guardian breaks out The Bard's Song, it's goosebump-inducing. Personally, I think it's awesome when performers let the music unite performers and those that love what they do.
So pull up one of the studio recordings - way better sound quality, objectively speaking, than what you'd get live anyway. Live performances are about more than just the music, it's a whole experience.
I have not cried in years. This single moment, no matter that it was in 2007, reduced me to tears. The passion I felt from this crowd truly moved me. Keep on telling your tales, fellow Bards. PS: Hansi's handsome as hell too!
Quite good job. Don,t care the little mistakes. The essence: enjoy! A work is much better with mistakes with an enjoying musician, than a perfectly done job by a boring, routinly executer (fulfiller).
