This channel has enhanced editions of older Supernatural convention videos, primarily focused on Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. My goal is to create the best and most watchable versions available for some of the older con videos and make them more accessible.
Typical enhancements: * Visual improvements to the original footage. Upscaling if possible, some stabilization to reduce shakiness, color corrections if needed.
* GOOD color-coded subtitles.
* Additional content to add context to various references made during the videos.
* When available, multiple sources are edited together to create the most complete and watchable video of the event possible. If my primary source is missing part of the footage, I'll try to find an alternate video that has it and edit that in. Likewise, if possible, I'll cut to another video when audience heads block the view for very long. I may also use audio from a different video than the one displayed to get clearer audio.
Thank you, I finally understand that Jensen improvised on Tench inch Hero - the entrance steppe was his idea - he didn't expect to director take it. And the steppe made the entrance scene Priestly so amazing 🤗🤗
I hadn't seen Ten Inch Hero before, so when I originally watched this video I didn't really understand what he was talking about. I had fun researching it and finally seeing his "little dance". It was a great improvisation!
Sorry, my brain gets a regime is he at all human? I look at the panel. The fan has a perfect angle to shoot. Jensen's profile is so amazing. He´s beautiful, you can leave your eyes on him. And then you realize how he gives thoughtful answers and is so respectable to the fans.
Děkuji, úžasná práce - velmi si toho cením, stré panely jsou úžasné, ale já bez titulků nerozumím skoro ničemu. A nyní si vychutnávám postupně Tebou upravená videa. 🤗🤗
If you have any old convention videos you’d be willing to contribute to this project, please e-mail me at DetailTilted@gmail.com. If you know anyone who might have some, I’d also greatly appreciate it if you could let them know about my search. Even if your videos are on RU-vid, I’d rather get my hands on the original files if you still have them. The originals are much more likely to upscale well. If I use your videos, I’ll of course credit you. Also, if I can get your videos to upscale (I can’t always), then I’d be happy to send the upscaled versions back to you for your collection. Thank you!
Hot guys. Lol so was the "two cowboys" an unintentional reference to Brokeback Mountain, hence the audience losing it and Jensen saying he walked right into that one? 😂
Haha, I was never quite sure if people were laughing because they thought it had Brokeback Mountain implications or if they were laughing because they thought his analogy was a bit of a stretch. But since we both thought of Brokeback, I bet it's likely that's what a lot of the other fans were thinking too. 🤣
@@DetailTiltedI did and will be watching the rest of the videos and i've already subscribed to the channel! I also shared it with a big group of friends❤ Keep up the good work and thanks again♥️
Haha, yes, it was funny to see him struggle with this question (and a similar one in CHICON 2008) when those of us who have seen the later videos could have answered it for him. 😂 I kind of think the answer he gave in this video was probably the more serious and true answer, though. I’m sure he really does find bears scary, but I think he probably also uses that answer because it’s way funnier, especially when Jensen is there to tease him about it, so it works better for a panel like this. I’m guessing you saw the video where Jared and Jensen talk about Jared’s Scare Bear app? That one made me laugh so hard. 🤣 In case anyone else sees this comment who’s wondering what I’m talking about, he’s a link. (Not my video. Link starts at the relevant section, but they take a while to get to the app part. It’s from SFCON 2016.) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ndZqxHIXNqU.htmlfeature=shared&t=946
Thank you! It's the first time I've seen the whole panels from those early years. And with subtitles too! You're a miracle. I'll go on binging all the videos, just can't stop, it's so good!
This was wonderful! I was actually putting off watching this because I thought I'd seen it before, but then today, I thought I'd just throw it on in the background while folding laundry (just to see if there was anything I'd missed the first time around, maybe one of your enhancements), and it was actually completely new to me! (Or, if I've seen it before, I caught very little of it on that watch. Cuz I don't remember this one at all!) Anyway, this video was great. I obviously don't have anything to compare it to, but your work in making these such a smooth watching experience is always apparent!
Thank you! :) Haha, that would be a fun surprise to run across something unexpectedly new! And the idea of people watching my videos while they go about their daily routine like folding laundry makes me oddly happy. 😂
Nicely done! I've seen what was on RU-vid before, and your enhancements make the whole thing *so* much more watchable... Your subtitles alone are a massive improvement!
Oh that would be awesome, I hope they come out well! I bet there are a lot of gif-able(?) moments in this video. 🤣 I'd love to see them if you do some. I'm on Tumblr with the same name, if you didn't already know. And I'm on Twitter, but I'm not active there because 1) I'm invisible to everybody except spam bots and 2) I'm waaaaay too wordy for whatever that ridiculous character limit is. 😅

thank you so much! this looks great and i love that you added subtitles! i often have a hard time understanding what exactly they're saying so they make it 1000% more enjoyable for me to watch! thanks!
Thank you, I’m so glad the subtitles have been helpful! It can be really hard to make out what they’re saying sometimes. I saw your comment come in right as I was struggling with a difficult section of subtitles in the next video I’m working on, so your comment made me especially happy. 😊
@@DetailTilted Aww, I'm glad it made you happy! You're out here doing amazing work for real! I've been trying to pace myself with watching these videos but its an impossible task, lol! The quality, first of all, is amazing! I know this might be a bit of a bad comparison but i was watching that Ellen Degeneres interview with jared that was mentioned in the jared 2007 panel and the quality was GODAWFUL! Switching back to the panel was the biggest treat ever haha! On another point, i know this gets mentioned in other comments, but your use of the side space for additional information is GENIUS! I don't know if it's just me but these older panels have a lot more spn specific stuff to them with like, scene references, blooper references, etc and its such a joy that i can expect your explanation to pop up on screen as the reader says it! It's so amazing and thank you so much for all the research you put into these videos! <33
Thank you so much! I got really lucky when I managed to get in touch with AgtSpooky and get her original video files. They upscaled so much better than the videos pulled off RU-vid. I think RU-vid compressed the files and it reduced the quality. I’ve temporarily skipped over some conventions I couldn’t upscale, but once I go back and do those, you’ll unfortunately see the visual quality go downhill. They’ll probably come out looking more like my CHICON 2008 breakfast video if you’ve seen that one, maybe worse. That’s the only one I’ve published so far that doesn’t have any upscaling. (The other CHICON 2008 panels are upscaled, though.) I made a lot of color corrections and reduced the headache-inducing flashes, and if you look at the original videos you’ll see a HUGE difference, but it looks very bad by comparison with my other enhanced videos. And I don’t know WHAT we’ll get once I go back and try to do LACON 2008 - those videos are a mess. 🤣 Either way, upscaled or not, they’ll definitely still have the subtitles and the sidebar content. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the additional info! I’ve had a lot of fun adding it, and I’ve learned a lot of things that went over my head the first time I watched these videos.
Awesome video as always! Thank you for this and I really appreciate your time and dedication for subtitles and also references on it. Keep doing it, please
Thank you so much! It makes me so happy that the subtitles and references have been helpful. I’ve started working on the Vancouver 2009 panels, so you can expect to see the Breakfast video from that convention next. :) It usually takes me a few weeks to finish a video, so it will be a bit of a wait. I’m temporarily skipping over some conventions for which I couldn’t find videos that would upscale well. My hope is that if I give it some time, I might manage to make contact with people who have original videos they’re willing to contribute and end up with something better in the long run. But if not, I still plan to come back to the ones I skipped and do what I can with the available videos. I can still do the subtitles, color corrections, extra content, etc.

Coming back to add - I laughed out loud at the "wheels bearing fruit" image! Not bad photoshop at all. It was wonderful and kinda complemented Ben's whacky comment! 😄
LOL, I’m so glad you liked that! I often wonder if the occasional silly things I throw in there make anybody else smile or if I’m only amusing myself and everybody else thinks I'm bonkers. 🤣
Wow! 19 videos! Kudos to your patience. I really love the talking head bubbles. Also, thanks for adding all the references. As a non American, I can infer that they're making pop culture references but it's good to actually know what they are talking about 💜 It was an entertaining panel as usual but Eric had to handle most questions because they were about S4 and only Eric was authorized to answer 😄 which he did with great flair. But the usual shenanigans from J2 were slightly subdued. Jared in particular was uncharacteristically quieter 😂 My favourite moment is Jensen talking about two cowboys and the audience erupting into laughter 😉😀
Haha, thank you so much! I saw your comments come in while I was working and it was a big bright spot in what was otherwise a hectic day. 😀 I was especially happy to get your comment on this particular video because it was so challenging for me. It’s the only one so far that nearly burned me out, but I was happy in the end with what I learned while doing it. I’m relieved that you liked the talking head sometimes-bubbles! 😅 I agree, the cowboy part was hilarious! I missed the higher level of J2 shenanigans in this one, but I did gain a better appreciation for just how funny Eric and Ben could both be.
@@DetailTilted Oh for sure Eric and Ben have amazing sense of humour. I'm also kind of in love with Ben's accent. And his laugh 🥰😁 I love his interviews on Spn Then and Now. He has some wonderfully deep observations.
Regarding the "I don't do fear" reference at 8:47 to which Jared responded, "Like that television show"... Someone on Tumblr (see post here: www.tumblr.com/detailtilted/750019431248396288/hiya-in-your-latest-vid-for-chicago-november?source=share) suggested this could be a reference to a paranormal reality show that aired on MTV in 2000 - 2002 called Fear: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_(TV_series) Another Tumblr member commented on the above post and brought to my attention that Jared had also hosted a reality series called "Room 401" on MTV which, according to the following wiki page, "took unaware victims into the center of pranks that played like mini horror movies." So maybe the reference could have been related to that? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_401
I love your editing style, thank you so much and keep it up, it is so well done. Thanks for the subtitles, as a person who is learning English I'm not always able to catch every word but you are making this old cons available for me and sure more other people. And this side notes- Cool, awsome idea!!
Thank you so much for your comment, it made my day! I’ve had a lot of fun adding those side notes, and it makes me especially happy that the subtitles have helped make the videos more accessible. I was hoping that would be the case. English is the only language I know, but I myself have found the videos difficult to understand, especially when everyone is talking (or screaming) at once. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be if English were someone's second (or third or fourth...) language. There are such great moments in these videos, so I'd very much like for everyone to be able to fully understand and enjoy them!
Thank you! There are such great moments in these older videos. I badly wanted to try to clean some of them up and make them a little easier to watch and understand. I'm so happy you're enjoying them.
@@DetailTilted Yes, I noticed the difference! And thanks for the subtitles. Thanks a lot! This is my favorite period of the SPN. Those were the days when the rus fandom was created. The good old days))
I remember these videos from back in the day. Thank you so much to AgtSpooky for the recordings and to you for taking the time to enhance and then to share. I am extremely grateful and shall look forward to watching.
Thank you! I'm so grateful that AgtSpooky and others took the time to record these videos and share them. So many great moments would have been lost otherwise, but instead we have both old and new fans still enjoying them almost 17 years later! :)
