As soon as I saw any wildlife or other people. We mostly hiked off trail and Lego was very trained with local wildlife and with no hunting instinct in him. It is very important that the dog never scare any wildlife, especially the reindeer, owned by the locals and do have the right to shoot your dog if it is unleashed and scares the the reindeer.
@@TheGraset if anyone tries to shoot my dog I will shoot their whole freaking family! My dog saved my life at several times! No one aims at him and walks away!
Awesome Video. we have the same plans for next year. But we read everywhere that the dog must be on a leash. Is this rule strict in sweden? That would be a mood killer for me
Thanks! Yes, unfortunately the dog needs to be on leash in all mountain areas in Sweden. If i would have known that the views would have been so many, maybe i wouldn't have posted it at all. Lego was well trained with the local wildlife and we hiked mostly off trail and small local trails, but this is not really an excuse for not having him on a leash. But please don´t let it stop you! There are plenty of leash solutions like bungy cord or such that still make it very enjoyable!
My thoughts goes to you Ewen. When I showed my wife the video yesterday she thought it was beautiful but sad. It is hard not the think about the pain I will feel when Lego is leaving us. But I will rather have a short time with him in my life then never have meet him at all. Wish you the best and a happy new year!

I've started doing this so recently by first time in my life. It's so Hard for me... But I miss it when staying at home: it's being the best experience I've ever had before, and for my "daughter" (a mastiff female) also. I'm learning but want so much more. Thnx a lot for sharing, Simon..
