In about 100 years, new generations will be revering PMG's melodies just as Brahms, Beethoven, Bach are honored today... RIP Lyle Mays, a genius. The length of his fingers and his musical sensitivity could only have directed him to keyboards. "Music is melody, lyrics are poetry, no one dances poems."
Stunning fresh performance from the PMG of old thanks boys, pity the sound recording could not be cleaned up because it is so good. Nothing like the cleaned up album cuts good though they are.
Outrageously exceptional music! Growing up in a Jazz household… set my musical ear bar very high.. and BAMMM!!! Heard this driving into San Francisco yesterday… and damn!!!! L🔥O🔥V🔥E
RIP Lyle Mays.
One of the most profound experiences of my life was experiencing this concert from the third-row center aisle with a clear view of the whole stage in front of me in Salt Lake City. Watching this fills my body with memories and emotion. RIP Lyle.
This number is a real masterpiece. So complex in its structure, yet so tightly presented by these expert musicians. Miss the great Lyle Mays. May he RIP. Oh, and by the way, did anyone notice how Antonio casually pulled a guitar and started strumming away before switching back to the drums? That is crazy, and I know most of these guys are multi-instrumentalists.
