I consider myself someone who studies the soul, love, buddhism, anarchism, abolition, liberation and all the ways those speak to and through each other and intertwine. I record and share some of the sacred stories that have shaped me, essays, poems, books, prose, whatever works ask to be heard; to heal some of the worlds' broken heart and woundedness. It started out as a way to work with my self hate and be able to hear my voice with honesty and care and compassion rather than dysphoria and distortion and hell.

Thank you, I ended up grabbing the audiobook that the author narrates on the strength of this video. I was putting off reading this for some time (mostly because I don't read physical books basically ever--not proud of it, just a fact), and this pretty immediately got me to see the value in exploring this further. So grayeful to find this. My public library has like 360 holds on 30 copies. I tried to buy it independently and was unable without a full audible subscription. It feels like a book that should be free to everyone. I struggle to focus well enough to read so this is great.

I really love this essay. Your voice also sounds pretty similar to Le Guin's voice somehow. It's really pleasant to listen to. Aside from it being recorded on a phone XD I downloaded the video from your channel, and put it through Adobe Podcast Enhance to clean up the voice. Honestly sounds so much better and clearer. An idea for you if you want to do a reupload :)

I have some Adobe that fell off the back of a truck I think 🤔 I didn't have the time to reread old longform stuff since I still owe new chapters on current books but!!! That's super smart I hadn't thought of that and it could be a way I clean up old audio before I had a mic and was editing on my computer
