Saudi, kuwait, and recently i am going Lithuania, europe on work permit as a truck driver, and from there i want to move canada in same profession is this can happen can Lithuania truck driving licence can get exchange
Adding experience from Alberta : 1. With Indian DL (Written in English) is valid for 90 days, without any separate Int DL or extract. a. students/short time visa holders can drive with their Indian DL, no issues with rental companies as well. 2. For Canda DL STEP1 : L7 (Knowledge Test) - Cannot drive alone its mandatory accompany a L5 Non-GDL driver - At the time of giving the knowledge test make sure you check with the registry if your DL can be exchanged otherwise try other center some of them asks for Intl DL as well, some require DL Extract but few will accept the Indian DL without any additional docs. - It will be verified with the Govt and once done details were added to your profile. Call them after 2-3 weeks if your DL experience was considered/counted? If its more than 2 yrs then you are directly eligible for non-GDL L5 STEP2 : GDL L5 (Road Test) - If experience accounted from your exchanged DL is less than 2 yrs, you will receive non-GDL L5. STEP3 : Non-GDL L5 (Road Test if not done for Step2 or direct eligible) - Go for the 45 min Road test once cleared along with Vision Test - Get the Non-GDL L5 (Full DL non-commercial vehicle)
If all this happened to him he can file direct complaint with airline & DGCA ( department who monitor airlines in India ) . DGCA always take all complaints very seriously & action will be taken for sure if necessary
It’s airlines normal duties to check TRV visa holders document cz if CBSA have to return more than 5 passengers or more than 5 passengers file asylum from 1 vessel means flight . Huge fine & penalties imposed on airline . I am totally agree these check in agents are miss handling all these duties cz of this matter.
