Our mission is to equip, educate, and inspire more people to PROVIDE and PROTECT-a community of those who cultivate ways to provide for and protect themselves, their families, and their communities.
When I was working for years as a FEMA rapid response officer, part of my duties were going around to the schools doing a FEMA for kids program, hoping thru children, parents would put together survival kits. Such simple supplies in a handy grab it container.
WTF is that bollox all about!!!!!! Just get a big ground spike in the ground next to where you park car and connect to it via the ground side of battery with some welding cable, 30mm2 should be ok but bigger if you got it ……..4th 5th and 6th of this month it’s coming!,!,! You been warned
I'm in complete agreement here. I have about 3 months of food here. I could do better with drinking water. I have a way to have electricity, even though I also use my local electricity provider . I have an electric bike which would help in an earthquake situation because earthquakes take down trees, crack up roads, break down bridges. It weighs 70 pounds and goes 100 miles. It might help, and I can charge it with my solar system. That said, one would have to leave their home and move to higher ground in your hurricane situation. The counties should have buildings on higher ground. Also, having communications is essential. We realize that some of you will never take the simple tests and become hams. You should at least spend $25 dollars and buy a portable radio (walky talky) and learn enough on how to use it. Don't break the law in non emergency situations, but remember, we have a saying in law enforcement , with regards to life or death emergencies anything is legal with regards to radio. But, you need to know what your doing and have an understanding of what is available to you BEFORE the emergency situation arrives. We have these networks and we say, every day, we will talk to ANYONE who has an emergency, licensed or not.
Great tutorial and recommendations. I have a Gen 2 so it's definitely time for an upgrade. I'll have to look into that furniture for sure. Well made video!
The big lessons from this event: *Prepping for a long-term power outage *Prepping for long-term cell phone/landline/internet outage *Prepping for no running water *Prepping for if you’re stranded in place (ie. Roads and bridges out, no food, no travel/gas; Do you have medical supplies, food, water, etc.?) * if you can make it to a town, having cash on hand because the card readers won’t work
Are you kidding me right now these ppl got swept away from floods how in the world would they have any preps to even help themselves go help ppl or don't say nothing at all
I hear you. But I think you missed the point. I want people to having a fighting chance of survival. It’s truly tragic and I hate all the loss. But I want more people to be prepared for the future.
You can prep up to your eyeballs or till the cows come home - you choose. But if you don't have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you aint got squat! HE showed up to help these poor folks who've lost so much. HE showed up in the angels who took their time and their own money to help folks they don't even know. They don't point fingers and play the blame game. They help because they WANT TO and feel blessed to be able to do so. OUR GOD ALWAYS shows up to help clean up the mess satan made.
Well, if 2025 goes through if Donny is re elected, it will do away with the Weather Administrtion. We cannot do that. Can you imagine, having no Weather Admin. Scares me to death.
For God's sake! EVERYTHING EVERYTHING was torn away. Cattle were torn away. YES people are waiting to be rescued. YES they are waiting on their government. They are waiting for anyone to help. I'm not torn, people are dead, pets are dead, homes are gone, their prep is gone. So anyone with the attitude that people should have been prepared, go f*ck yourself. Sometimes no matter what provision you've put away, no matter how much ammo, it does not matter. Roads are gone, mountains came down, how do you prep for this?
Or you could not prep and see how that goes. People should have food supply, water, basic necessities. He’s not saying to prep like it’s the apocalypse.
I hear you. But I think you missed my point. Their preps could still help them. Even if they had 15 minutes, with certain items, they could save themselves and their families. I’m not lecturing, I’m trying to help. And you have no idea how much I’ve given (monetarily) or the team that I’m taking part in to go and help.
Those hit the worst could have prepped but it was washed completely away. They never dreamed they would have seen the destruction, they are seeing. Thoughts and prayers are with all in these communities.
I store mine with the filler cap up, that helps a lot with the leakage problem. I took mine hunting with me again this year. I kept an all day camp fire and a overnight wood stove completely stocked with wood left over for 10 days on one 6 amp hour battery. I also only run veg oil in it so I can use it for processing a moose quickly. They are also very quit so perfect for a hunting camp or cutting when you don't want to wake up or alarm your neighbors.
Everything the government does (at all levels) is to preserve the government. If citizens happen to benefit from it, well sometimes these things can't be helped. At least the tax revenue has been preserved...
It's difficult to try to convey this kind of message without it being taken the wrong way, as judgemental, criticism or otherwise. I commend you for trying to get your message of self responsibility and accountability across.
As someone who couldn’t get in touch with my parents for three days. I welcome this message. My elderly parents were sadly unprepared. We should take lessons from this event. It’s not to lessen what people are going through at all.
Living in FL, I've had no power for weeks after a storm. I didn't like that. So slowly over years I've bought gas cans on faceberg market place for $2-5 bucks.. I have a dozen 5 gallon can, 6 for diesel, and water. You don't need to be rich to buy used stuff someone else bought during the last storm new and doesn't think they will ever be needed again. I keep them full, with stabilizer in them. I switch them out about every 6 months just to have fresh gas. It doesn't take long at all. Buy the preban cans or get the fast fill adapters.
You don't even need 1000s of dollars to give yourself a fighting change during an emergency. Basic water supply, some canned food, maybe a small battery to recharge your phone, some flashlight ls with extra batteries, weather radio, thermal blanket, lighter, waterproof matches is a hell of a good start and could be had for under $100. $50/month, $20/month or whatever you can spare would go a long way when purchasing items in bulk from a Costco store. I'm not looking forward to eating rich and beans but I'm damn glad I have them.
In reality, you can never really be prepared because you never know what to expect. It could be a tornado a hurricane, an earthquake. And you should trust the government that’s why we have FEMA and emergency management, Army Corps of Engineers, etc. etc. and then we have administrations to protect your food and water. Of course there’s a particular person that wears the mark of the beast upon his head as well as his followers - that wants to dismantle all of our regulation . We have to protect our infrastructure. Otherwise, you have no communication you have no roads bridges dams seriously we are all part of a system ecologically economically, humanitary .
I get what you are saying, as I am a prepper...HOWEVER, even if these people would have stocked up on excessive amounts of food, water, supplies and medical stuff, etc., it would NOT have saved them. It would have been washed away and destroyed along with their homes and cars. Even the most prepared can be at a total loss in the event of a catastrophic event, such as this one!
@@TheLoveFrequency-528Hz I hear ya. Thank you for that. However, at least they could throw some of those items into a bag, and their family can survive for a few days until help arrives. At least they would have those things to help them along. We can’t prepare for everything, but we can do our best to survive.
@provide_protect - Maybe you have not experienced being in a catastrophic situation before. When you are in life or death, panic situations, and trying to find all of your loved ones, the last thing on your mind would be to grab a sack of can goods. My point was, even if you had food stashed all over your house, if your house is floating downstream, so is everything else you own. Preparedness doesn't always assure that you are protected, especially in such a catastrophic event , such as this one. 🙏
@@TheLoveFrequency-528Hz You have no idea what I've been through, and it's just hubris to think otherwise. But if you don't think you can grab a "go bag" in an emergency, then you're just naive. You're better than that. You don't have to resort to low blows.
Totally on point. I grew upon near Abingdon and Bristol, and now am in the Caribbean. I went thru Hurricane Maria. I have the whole kit because my lights go out weekly, and during Maria had now water for a week, no lights for 3 months, no food for 2 months, no gasoline for 1 month. Now my aunt, who still lives up there is whining about not having lights for a whole day. Her mom (my granny) kept a cellar with a year's worth of food, but my aunt never got the hint.
I'm in western NC my town has seen flooding and road closures our internet and cell phones are slowly coming back. We're one of the lucky ones that never lost power. We had one fatally that I know of. My husband and I lived through the blizzard of 93. We had no power for a week. We live and learn, sometimes the hard way. The people that lost everything needs our prayers and help rebuilding their lives, under the current administration, all they worry about is how many illegals they can get in here and take over, or Ukraine.
This Hurricane was 102% under the control of Weather Modification Technologies…….1. A day before Hurricane Helene was Off the west coast of Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key FL, SQUARE SCALAR waves were viewed in the Gulf of Mexico. This can ONLY occur due to frequencies like HAARP or other Weather Technologies that the Androgynous ✌️elites have access to. 2. *****The DoD just signed a 90+ million dollar deal with Abermarle-Lithium to start digging in western NC as early as 2025. Ground Surveys revealed THE LARGEST LITHIUM DEPOSITS ON EARTH are in this area of western NC! The bottom line - this Hurricane was guided to this area because Uncle Sam wants that Land! This is a Lahaina Maui Land Grab part 2, but without the lasers 🤣. God Bless and GodSpeed 💪
Well pat yourself on the back with that long arm...Most can only do for the month or week or day. If you have resources for that good for you. Tell that to the people just losing their prepping stuff with the flood.
what part of the flood waters washing people's homes away. They lost everything including all their preps and water. I think k you are being a judgmental person. What good does all upur stupid preps do if everything is been washed away. I mean everything . Those 2 weeks worth supplies just got washed away with your home. I dont think any one of iou understand flash floods.
Seems like alot talk from someone who is standing on dry ground, maybe watched a little to much naked and afraid, you might be a okay guy, just not the best time to give your opinions ,
Truth! The old folks lived right. My grandparents and parents, even in a mild climate area, always prepared for disaster with food preservation and medicine. No survivalist training necessary. Just common sense.
YOU NEED TO GET GOOD WITH GOD. THESE ARE NO LONGER 'NATURAL' DISASTERS. THE BEST PREPARING IS REPENTING BEFORE THE LORD. THEN WORRY ABOUT THE OTHER STUFF.
I agree but so many people lost every thing they lost there house there cars clothes their mud every where. Most people don't think any thing bad is going to happen. You are right the government isn't coming to help any one.People need at least 2 weeks of food and water put back.God blesd
If you have not been preparing for collapse, chaos, martial law, food shortages and rationing you haven't been paying attention. “Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.”
We are still surviving day 6 in south Carolina, PIKE was here yesterday stating our area the worst he's seen. Not all have had means to build prep... they were just struggling to keep a daily food, fuel to get to.work, and roof overhead, and now they are devastated... in best times know my neighbors well and many in Upstate they would have if they could have. We are helping where we can
Maybe some people will learn that stuff is just stuff, given the huge losses. In the very least a bug out bag and some water is something everyone should think about. God Bless.
learning from seeing what storms did after can help to guide people on life after. whats left after is.. trees? lots of people do spend LOTS on going out. or get an expensive generator & 1 can of gas.. thats a day? water of a gallon a person a day is fantasy.. gallons a day each 👍 can food meds first aid lights radio battery op fan.. dollar store stuff 👍👍
I’ve purchased supplies on hand including can goods for food for a disaster. However I don’t fault people for waiting on the government for supplies. Most US citizens are tax payers and the government services are for the citizens. When immigrants arrive on our shores the US government provides supplies medical, food, shelter, and water supplies. So why can’t they provide for the citizens that pay them for public services?
It's ironic that the EMP novel "One Second After" takes place in Asheville, NC. Climate Change is what we need to prep for, folks. And people should have started a long time ago, unlike all these dopes that have been preaching EMP for the last decade.
People pay taxes and fees for government services like water supply and waste treatment. It takes a disaster to find out how pooly build the government supplied services really are. It is not unreasonable to expect some robustness in our water and waste treatment systems. Civilization is not possible without these basic services.
