ark Jackson is the best candidate for head coach. in my Charles Barkley voice "I guarantee it" would be the right thing for the Lakers he would get much respect from his players and w
The Nets "sold" Dr. J to Philly in 1976. The passed on Kobe in 1996 The Nets would have skipped on Jordan if they had that opportunity. The Nets always seem to be doing Net things and they still haven't won the NBA Championship.
The one thing that made Iverson such a crowd favorite was that he NEVER layed down on the job. To the contrary, he gave everything during every minute of every game. Lots of respect for AI!
Growing up with the class of 84 my pride says the 84 draft was better but I have to admit 96 was the top draft from top to bottom hands down and Hip Hop Music was on fire that year as well
The class of 84 had Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Kevin Willis and more. Those 5 alone where stronger than the top 5 in 96 but 96 WAS deeper than 84, no doubt about that.
The fact that out of all team the Clippers had the nerve to test his mental toughness instead of going for his John Wallace talent is laughable knowing their history and future from that point forward
Knowing what you know... how would you re-pick the 1996 draft class? Mine will be like this... 1 Kobe Bryant 2 Allen Iverson 3 Ray Allen 4 Steve Nash 5 Ben Wallace 6 Stephon Marbury 7 Jermaine O'Neal 8 Peja Stojaković 9 Marcus Camby 10 Antoine Walker
I remember Jayz Reasonable Doubt had just came out when we were watching the 96 draft. We were listening to Jay and watching the draft at the same time. I felt like I was there. Then our local star Jermaine O’Neal got drafted. He lived in my neighborhood and bought a midnight blue surburbsn and was back in town like every week that summer beating down the block with that Reasonable Doubt and ATLiens. 96
You can tell that they were all appreciative of getting a chance to play at the highest level. Players nowadays just take it for granted. These older guys were grateful for their opportunity to join the league. Just a better class of athlete back then.
