thanks this is very useful, have been trying to create similar jobs for production data and the documentation doesn't explain anything about the roles or policies required to do this. would be good to see some examples of the required roles and policies in the documentation for how to do this. none of this was required previously with sync manager so it must be new with the bucket replication tool.

It leaves one key question in my mind...With the NAS option, is the control folder share supposed to become the primary way users interact with their files? e.g they no longer need to access the NAS at all? Or is it just a way users can bring a file back from cloud storage, to then open it separately via the NAS share?
That is correct - If its from a NAS then the Stub Folder share will have to be exposed to the users to retrieve the file - or they can ask an admin to do it - NAS does work better when the shares are windows sources
I am experiencing from pretty serious issues after installing the cloud NAS on my Win 2012 R2 server. Some files seem to be missing from our file server, and some of the files that have been replicated, when users try to access them - it gives us an error about needing permission from the Sharepoint admin. We do not use Sharepoint...
Hi Neale, Great video. It would be nice to see a video detailing the "Versions" tab in the properties screen, and how to restore previous versions. I'd like to use this, but cannot get the feature to work as I'd expect. Essentially want to roll back a folder to the state it was in on a specific date. Similar to how Previous Versions works on Windows.
