Baaaaaaad idea. I work for a major gas utility company. I install gas mains and home services. What is the result if that copper wire is nicked or the connection at the main is damaged. You will get stray current blowing and or melting your gas line. In the summer time when the electric draw is large sometimes the ground may send current. If and when that happens your home explodes or goes on fire. This setup is even code in some places, it is absolutely insane. I have witnessed more than 5 occurences of this and the outcome is tragic. In our companies cases it is the homeowner who connects grounds to our piping illegally. The gas line carries a highly flammable gas. Electricity creates sparks and arcs in the wrong situation. Why even take the chance? Use the water line worst case just hopefully the water line never touches the gas line. Get a grounding rod do it safely. Im serious, i have alot of experience ill answer any questions if you doubt my concerns. Yea 95% of the time youll be fine. But wben your not ur wayyyyy not fine.

Good to see you again Bob. Unfortunately have been dealing with some health issues. Have surgery at the end of the month, and sometime in 3 months or so after that I need the first of two knee replacement surgeries.
That is the PCV = Positive Crank Ventilation. The Pressure Control Valve is inside the transmission, you'll have to remove the transmission side cover to get to it.
If manifold gasket leaks, could it be the torqued bolts working loose; retorque OR apply gasket maker to suspect leak area/s and torque tight.? Maybe ?

Thanks! The city where I live NEVER paints the hydrants anywhere Once in a while they will come out and do a flush out, but not everywhere.. I have a city hydrant in my front yard and I paint it yellow since that's the only color the city has... The private hydrants are painted silver with red tops and Caps not to be confused/ used by the city since they are of a much lesser water pressure on a private service line..
Man this is interesting. We have an old mining settlement near us in the mountains dating back to the the early 1800s. Should be some great finds hinding there
If chain is thin, unless you have special tools you would be better to take it to a jewelry store and let them fix it. Small chains are difficult to work on. Regards, Bob
