You lost all credibility when you failed to contextualize and support your claim. You didn't even try to do either, which shows that you really don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you spend less time leaving bitter comments on educational videos and more time consulting a punctuation guide?
she just loves to run--she was a breeder release rescue and spent 4 years in a cage cranking out puppies. Now she runs for the sake of running. She takes care not to trample on anyone's grave. She just runs through and shares her spirit of love for life
Thank you for posting this, its very informative. I was thinking that routinized forms of domination likely affect all people of colour regardless of gender.
Hi 👋☺️ 👉l've seen your post video 📸 👉it explains enough deepest idea 😂👌👍👉could you please be more about it with in clarifying the situation!? I would like to see more in order to share your video. Thanks for your Kindness and your understanding 😊
The thing that I notice most directly from this reading is that Janie seems to focused on the subjective wrongfulness of each situation. Sure, one could consider Teacake's lying and gambling enough to categorize him as a bad guy, but Janie makes the effort to point out how the hypocrisy of others and how they choose to portray their lives makes them more evil in her brain. Racism and ignorant behavior is not subjective, so the definition of evil does not sway. Something like gambling could be considered an either smart move, a necessary move, or an evil and wasteful move; however, it remains subjective and inherently less evil overall. Janie isn't a hypocrite who is making excuses. She simply knows who she is, what she wants, and what she stands for.
Maybe the ladies have a genuine connective reaction because they admire the extent to which Janie flawlessly embraces her womanhood. Doing so was and is typically seen as disgraceful, but Janie embraces her sexuality with nothing but grace. I truly think these white women envied her.
I think Janie wasn't considered as white passing because she embraced her blackness, which is what most ignorant b*stards find so revolting about race. They do not actually care what someone looks like, they cannot stand the fact that their target may be comfortable in their skin as someone who is told to hate it when they cant even be comfortable in their privileged skin. Janie just loves who she loves and the fact that it happens to be someone who is nowhere near close to passing is a sort of power move for her, which she seems to enjoy .
It is almost comical to me that some white people have convinced themselves that an entire group of people that we have historically attempted to essentially eradicate will somehow have complex sexual fantasies of strictly white people. It kind of reminds me of the guy who is so deep in the closet that he continually blames any queer man around him for trying to sexualize him... except this has somehow escalated into something worse. Any aspect of society and culture that has essentially been drummed up to such a big deal that it requires people to act/think like this really speaks volumes about the fallacious nature of man.
This whole story connected to race and Christianity. Jesus was welcomed at first when people figured that he was white. Being crucified and lynched went hand in hand. Both include people being beaten and put on display while they are dying. The people who crucified or lynched them were the opposite race or ethnicity.
I found it interesting that they invited him in because they thought that he was white man but they were surprised to find out that he was actually of mixed race. They actually ended up calling the stranger which was Jesus Christ the N-word. It is crazy that no one recognized Jesus.
I believe the other students where right when stating that motorboat sleeping through the storm was Hurston using a stereotype of black people being lazy. But elissya is right with the irony in it all that his name was motorboat and he just ”floated away” hahah
