Really great. It would be really interesting to see how you’d counter the high press and what you think might be solutions to that play to cut off the fullback.
Hey, good question. First of all, it's important to know the formation changes anyway when In/ out of possession. And yes, 3-5-2 can be played with a 'flat' 3. However, I believe it is a 3-5-2 as the middle 3 are working together in a triangle with 2CDMs and 1 CAM (shown in the first example). You can play 4-3-3 with the same triangle midfield and it not be called 4-2-1-3. That's why I call it a 5 in midfield (3 in the middle + 2 wide players). I hope this explains and answers your question 👍

Thats a very weak formation my friend, you'll get ripped apart. If you're going to play 3-5-2 at least one of your wings needs to be a defender. See Inter Milan, or any Antonio Conte team.

@@itz_cxxper8468England doesn't have the players to play 3-5-2. And they would get destroyed with that formation and players he chose. If you look at Inter Milan or any Antonio Conte team over the years you'll notice how they line up, that team is defensively terrible.
@@bzilla-d4i i know i never said the formation was good im just asking what he would line up as southgate is a defensive minded manager so 3 defenders is not gonna go well for him i know that im just seeing his opinion
@@RoboFootball1 Oh so you're playing without any fullback or wingbacks? Or do you want one of your CDMs to fall back into the back three, thus sacrificing their ability to defend aggressively? Neither of those options are good.
