This song is completely astonishing but the Full Album "Deny Everything" is remarkable ...I had the chance to download for a short period from the website and since that date I heard once a year since 22 years ago and play a few album songs with my band very often." I need an Army to protect me" is another awesome song.
Glad you had the chance to download the album. I was the one who actually set up the album download site (with Wayne’s permission) although I lost my copy (and the site) in a hardrive failure. Wayne actually released a new version of the Thirteen:13 song “Sure Enough” a couple of years ago. It’s on the album “See Things Differently”.
I remember seeing these guys support pretty much every band I saw during 2000-2001. Ash, My Vitriol, Embrace, King Adora not to mention the amazing weekend that was Reading festival 2001. Great band, shame they never quite broke through.
yea man they released a tape called deny everything which I have and has a teaser of each song that was recorded for the release. I have all the singles on cd, Truth Hurts knocked Brittany Spears off the top of the charts in Poland or somewhere. I have a link saved somewhere that Wayne sent me where you can go and stream the whole Deny Everything album, I'll try and dig it out and get it on here for ya : )
@leeds120 Well, it took me a year to respond to this so I don't imagine you care, but, no, I'm not saying anything like that. Morrissey wrote the song--the truth of his experience is in the lyrics and it has a lot more to say than just "I'm sensitive and tortured." The only thing this guy adds (in my opinion) is whininess. To me it just sounds like a straight guy trying to get laid--that's why I introduced the gender comment.
U.K you've done it again, produced a terrific song writer singer who has just began to woo the world. Elvis Costello, Billy Joel and Micheal Spivey, would all be proud you can hear the convergence of the three in this young man and many more, he like a bouquet of song writer singers in one vase.
What are you talking about? Morrissey did the whole "I'm so sensitive and tortured" thing for years, and are you saying that the male gender are completely incapable of showing and relating to any kind of emotion?
Is this one of those things I would only "get" if I were a woman? Because all I hear is a guy taking one of the great songs of all time and just taking a whiny little crap on it. Why doesn't he just get an "I'm so sensitive and tortured" tattoo on his forehead? He and that Counting Crows singer could go to the tattoo parlor together and comfort each other about how much pain there is in their lives.
Apparently David Ford isn't that popular, which is too bad because he is absolutely brilliant. I really wish I could find the chords for this song somewhere.
