Great reaction...they were a bit more than that tho....they kind of got their start in the lste as regulars on the david letterman show (thats why paul sheaffer, dave's house band's leader & keyboardist does the lip synching guest appearance in the music video for this song)...& they played quite a bit longer, for years, on the big festival tour circuit until at least the end of the 90's, idk when they broke up tho, i didnt follow them intensely, its just when they had this huge hit album (with three huge singles on it) break, id known of them for, like, 8 yearsxalready because of the dave letterman show...they had a big, loyal underground following...you are correct about their short run on the "top 40 charts" tho...however, as musicians, theyre the real deal, for sure...again, great reaction, limed & subbed:) ..,sorry im so long winded
Fucking twit Spencer didn’t listen to a single word. He was focused on what Popper was WEARING ffs. Even after the other guy explained it to him, he still had no clue. What a superficial little betaboy.
i'm happy that you spoken of the lyrics as they are both a "hook" and trolling the listener but you missed one part the music itself is a troll it's pachelbell canon turned tu blues rock and pachelbell canon had been the " basis" of many hit songs and so pachelbell canon is a " hook" too the whole song is both a giant hook and a trolling on hooks!
6:36 Yes!! If nothing else, people have to applaud Adele's incredible bravery to share such raw, painful and deeply personal experiences with *the entire world.* I am rarely at a loss for words, but after hearing this song the first time I sat in stunned silence for several minutes. Absolutely brilliant.
Also what was spectacular, and please take notice, were the girl back up singers, they almost sounded like an instrument sound, just fabulous. Thanks for the great reaction.
The Speech is pretty famous. It is from Charlie Chaplin's 1940 movie The Great Dictator. Charlie wrote, directed, produced, and played the two main characters. It was his first Talking movie. The Speech is studied in Performing Arts Colleges around the world.
I'm glad I found someone who loves this song as much as I do You should definitely check out Blu by Jon very understanding also It's rly sad to me that this wasn't a mainstream song bc if Charlie Puth made this song it's be everywhere smh lol shoot I almost forgot but u should def do Guillotine too. They r my top 3. I do still like his one of his first singles All time low ofc
MVids are out for Anti-Hero and Bejeweled. Midnights as a complete album is absolutely dominating the charts... both the 100 and 200. Hope you'll check it out further.
I've listened to this album on repeat since it released. I would say this song is up there in my favorites. There is a music video for this and Bejeweled you should watch. Lavender Haze, Labrynth, Would've, Could've, Should've, Vigilante Sh*t, Karma and Mastermind are also some of my favorites if you'll looking for ones to react to. There are really only 3 out of the 20 I'm not really a fan of. Can't wait to see you react to more of this album.
I sooo enjoyed this with you guys! I have skipped over your reaction thinking your youth would get in the way of appreciating this classic...tho quite different from the original release, dare I say better-- much better. We lost Gary earlier this year, but he left us with one of the finest live performances ever. Thank you guys ...nice job, subscribed. RIP Gary Brooker
I love Paolo, and I loved this song, but I can't listen to it anymore, because my dog was ill and I had called out the vet and I had this album playing. The vet said my dog would have to be put to sleep, so as I lay stroking him and the injection went in, this song was playing. Now whenever I hear it, I think of that moment. But the lyrics were perfect for what was happening, granting Jake's last request, he had been looking at me all morning as if he was saying 'I'm tired mum, let me go.' But thankfully whenever Paolo does sing this song nowadays, he's changed the tempo, so it sounds different, so now I can listen to it, but not the album version. So I skipped the song and watched your reaction! Sorry.
Interesting tidbit: Popper had a severe heart attack that almost killed him. After he recovered, he had gastric bypass surgery to lose weight. He lost a ton of weight, but he lost so much weight around his throat that it actually changed his voice temporarily. He took him a while to get his iconic sound back, and he was so self conscious about how he sounded that he wouldn't perform for almost a year. He actually talked about it with Howard Stern later on (back when Howard was still on network radio, before SXM), I actually heard the show when Popper talked about it and then sang a little bit to show his voice was back. It was the first live singing he had done since the surgery. Pretty cool.
To round that up, Popper is a legend, and legend has it he was just watching porn, masturbating, when he felt some chest pains, but he just kept going until he was done like a real warrior would. After his own heart attacked him he changed his ways, and thats why we still are honored by his presence in this world.
Hi guys, one song you absolutely have to do is Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits ( The Alchemy Live version] This is one of the best live performances you will ever see. The drumming and solo guitar stuff is astonishing. Don’t miss out on this 😊🤞
Great review guys. 👏 His new album is an eclectic mix of amazing songs. My favourite so far is called Everywhere. You should definitely give it a listen but to be honest there are so many good tunes to choose from. He's so talented 🤩
Maybe you like the original song better. It's one of around 50 songs, to ever sell over ten million singles, and it was John Lennons favorite song of all time.
if they want to react to some really good rock someone should turn them on the some of the tunes on Pink Floyds pulse tour..... they are awesome.......
❤ RIP Gary Brooker 1945 - 2022 Step 1 - Orchestra prelude Step 2 - Gary Brooker and orchestra Step 3 - Gary Brooker + orchestra + band (Procol Harum) + choir AMAZING! (PROCOL HARUM is a latin expression that means "beyond these things")
