The Type F trans fluid is a thinner weight then standard non synthetic primary oil and it seems to leak out of the shifter shaft even more. I added a vent to the inner primary and it stopped leaking. Even though they say that it vents through the clutch pushrod and into the trans and out the trans vent. But it doesn’t vent enough. I been running with the vent in the primary for a year now leak free. The vent has a hose that goes up under the seat and back down.
I've seen other people take a walk around that museum filming and not seen as much. You did an excellent job. Thanks! Now I don't have to take the trip! Lol.! Seriously you did good.
Twincam is a much smoother operating engine in a fxr frame. My blue 91 has broken a lot of stuff simply from vibrations with the way I ride. These bikes were designed when the national speed limit were much lower. I still love my evos and I have two bikes that will forever stay evo, but I have always loved the idea of something a bit more modern in an older frame. Who knows, I might get it done and hate it, but either way it’s going to be a fun build I hope 🤞🏻
What the proper phrase should be is.. not if your stranded but when your stranded on side of the road. Because if you own a FXR you will be stranded one time or another.. aka the fixer. As always props to the editor. 📸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have, they all have names. But as weird as it sounds, I don’t say them out loud. In my head I know the name of each bike I have had, but only a few others do. 😂. But if you’re wondering, my blue fxr is named Sapphire, the peach fxr is Georgia, and this 87 I called Charlie Brown but it will change with the new paint
I have V2H on my work truck Dyna I usually shut it off, coast up to the garage in neutral. Except that one day I forgot the neutral part, screeching halt I came down on the 2020 knee replacement. Bent the bag frame ever so slightly, have a piece of rubber between it and the bag
I’ve yet to make it there, wish I’d have known about the few years I did the Smoke Out. I for sure didn’t know they had all those newer bikes. I thought the only FXR was Matt’s, but I did enter for this years Knucklehead give away. Would like to ride the FXRP there after I win the Knuckle. An old boy can dream
Excellent. I've been here at least 3 times already. Once chasing the old Jurassic creatures around. Then a fighter pilot in the big one WW2 . Then now. I heard you say we only get 1. Well there you go.
I was up there last year. Beautiful area and Wheels Through Time is an amazing museum. You are not too far away from The Dragon, Moonshine 29, and The Cherohola Skyway.
He is still working on making a mount for the stabilizer. We will try to film the best we can. It’s been hard lately with crazy schedules and just the summer overall but should be able to get some footage out to y’all hopefully. If not on here, at least on Instagram
Awesome video! I’ve been looking FXR for some time How are able to find the information on the trims of FXR’s Is there a book or website This is a way I can find what I want. Keep up the great work PEACE
If you’re on Instagram, there’s a page called FXR Bazaar They created a book filled with production number, paint codes, and information on the differences between year and models. Truly comes in handy understanding Fxr’s!!
@@Me.MyMachinist.and.l If you had more power . you might have to add a washer to each spring . I did that on a Yamaha 80 after i tripled the power with a GYT Kit Cylinder.
I use Frey lube rim grease on my tire beads.. It adds lube for assembly then dries a bit sticky. It helps to keep beads from leaking and it helps to keep the rubber from seizing or rusting or corroding the aluminum or steel wheel .
I have and use that same exact stand, never have I tied the bike down because the stand isn't hard mounted to the concrete garage floor. That's fixing to change.
@Me.MyMachinist.and.l oh OK gotcha, beautiful bike, little damage done. I had a tire that wouldn't seat, after much bs. Turned out it was a imperfection on the tire bead.
That Klockwerks phone mount is no joke. I do freeway speeds, open to the wind on 16" bars and it's a perch mount... my phone never moves. I said in Sundays video I ran 320 miles at 80-85 wirh my phone up there.
This is that video. The first part we press them in. It’s super straight forward. The instructions that come with it are easy to understand. Doesn’t take a ton of force to push them in.
Hell yeah! 🤘🏼 It was a great weekend! The black road glide, at the drag strip was my husband! He knows how to cut the tree! We had a blast, even though he was robbed and got 2nd place in every event! 😳😂
