I’m going to get an alpine kinetic jacket but I’m just trying to decide which colour to go for. I like the orange but I’m worried it might be a bit too bright and draw negative attention. I thought the same with the green as well.
I'm a non-climber and this film inspired me on many levels. 'Words can't describe what he does' is a great description. The message I got from this film is 'Get out there and do what are capable of doing'.
Wish this was about when I was a teenager . They had a climbing wall in Inverness High School and I got to use it once for 20 minutes 😢. 40 years ago 😊
Really solid review. I really like close-ups of the fabric so I can get a good idea of the tactile feel if you want to include that sort of thing on other reviews.
As a fell runner I know some of the Terrex trail running shoes in recent years have been excellent, so am interested in these, only thing which is stopping me is can they take a traditional style gaiter? Laces don't look close enough to the toe to me, I have some of the Inov8 Roclite boots which are very similar and they don't work with gaiters.
Hi Mark, The final review is coming soon. In advance though I have never worn them with gaitors (as I'm I haven't used them for a while now) but I will include fitting them in the review. I'll also touch on an issue I have found with the getting saturated.

I'd say nothing beyond light snow on hard ground / trails at low level. If it gets to going up in the hills they will be limited. Not really designed for that purpose and not necessarily crampon compatible. But could take a strap on crampon.

@@SeanHarrison88 I run hot once on the move and this has been alright in general. If you are piste skiing then this would be ideal, if touring maybe the boulder.
Can I have a job as a tester of your clothing... Lol... I'm a paramo fantatic... On a serious note I love paramo clothing and more importantly the ethics and fundamentals of paramo... A genuine company that does good... That's one of my main reasons for buying paramo... Also its never let me down while out and about in some terrible conditions....
Honestly, I didn’t come away with a huge amount of respect or awe of this guy. His skill was incredible but I think it was wasted potential. He set a bad example. Going in to new virgin locations without any practice runs or careful deliberation, just seems needlessly reckless. I respect the hell out of Alex Honnold for his far more deliberate, careful approach… He respects the mountain and its risks, and takes all the time necessary to learn every inch before he does his solo. Marc depended too much on luck, where Alex does everything he can to minimize or eliminate luck from the equation.
Definitely wasted potential and I see your point on going to virgin locations, however there is a lot to be said about reading terrain through experience. Even at a young age it could be said he had that

Tha AKU boots. Is there any brands you have to size up half size. I’m a true 9, wear adidas in 9 but had to go 9.5 in adidas terex? I’m really interested in the AKU
trying to choose between the rab kinetic ultra, the 2.0 and the phantom for step out of the front door spring / summer wet 20km trial and road running, what would be the one to go for.
Worth noting that the UK standard for waterproofing is 1500mm, whereas this is rated at 10,000mm, so this is definitely waterproof rather than "just on waterproof".
Marc Andre reminded me of Hunter S Thompson. The way he agreed to the film and then took off. Hunter S. Thompson was known for accepting writing assignments and then disappearing.
What a beautiful spirit and soul. Andre and his friend died so young, but their spirits live on because souls don’t die and these two died on a sacred ground of The Lord. We’ll see them soon or later. Blessing.
