🗣 I listened to the whole album. In my opinion, this is the *Best* song. However, the other songs are also solid ! ... I've been listening to her many times 😎
Never heard anything that complex that’s so easy to listen to in the music world in my life and I’m 43 you’ve got funk, rock, soul, way ahead of it’s time but a masterpiece non the less🔥🔥🔥
Vinnie has the ability to fit in well in almost all situations. Here he's hitting hard and his playing is quite busy. Some here say he's too busy....This is John McLaughlin! Get it? ...The spirit he brings to this group is much the same as Billy Cobham did with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. I'm sure it's intentional.
LYRICS: I love you because I need I want you to fill full my cavities Please don't ever leave me Till I grow tired of your (love) I'm looking around For someone to keep My body and mind Confined, contently I'm up in the air I really don't know where And I kind of think I'd like to come down (gently) Hey you - over there With the deep blue eyes And the sun-ripened hair With a head that can blow Like a whistle high And a mind that's as sharp As a butcher's knife Won't you take me there? Won't you take me there? Won't you take me there? Quickly... So I can crush you to me madly Smother you with kisses And wildly proclaim my (love) Hey you - over there With the deep blue eyes And the sun-ripened hair With a head that can blow Like a whistle high And a mind that's as sharp As a butcher's knife Won't you take me there? Won't you take me there? Won't you take me there? Quickly...
The song written by Hans Ziech (Bassplayer) He left Earth & Fire before the album release but remained as songwriter until 1981. The song is about overpopulation and a future perspective. Today he has been proven right!!!!! Chilly towers, people movin' On the rhythm of red and green Wrapped in blue no time left Blue forbidden, because of the rest There's so many, many people Facing the changing hours silent and untouched Alarming bells and crowded sidewalks It's the moment for substitution Wrapped in green, dark fixed gazes Sleeping consciousness and apathy Results in nothing really nothing Even no sacrificing and even no devotion Bustling traffic, nagging street sounds Shrilly cleaving the close grey air Wrapped in black, see their faces No smile, no love, misery grows every day Yes, day by day Like seconds unspoken into an ocean of time I try to remember where did I see those faces before? I see myself in loneliness Why do they make me feel so insecure? Do they treat me like a stranger For the coldness of my skin? Curious eyes, constantly pressing Alien gestures, causing sorrow Confusing pains liberating sparks Disintegration into thousands of metallic pieces Yes thousands of pieces Units scratch the ground Fading between the walls
AND GREG LAKE (ELP) WAS WITH THE GODS A YEAR TOO. WHAT AMAZING HISTORY. LOVE THIS BAND SO VERY MUCH, AND I HAVE ALWAYS RATED URIAH HEEP AT THE TOP. KEN HENSLEY WAS THE MAJOR INFLUENCE AND WRITER OF EVERYTHING, OF COURSE.
