I’ve just bought a Honda GX390 and Interpump machine and it’s worked a tankful of fuel over the past week. I’m not a contractor but a dairy farmer. The fuel use, for me, doesn’t seem too bad so far and on average it will only be used for about 100 hours a year I estimate. Didn’t consider a diesel one and none were in stock with the dealer who had maybe fifteen of various models assembled and ready to go. This replaces a Dixon’s hot water single phase machine which lasted OK but the hotbox failed and rusted internally years ago. The main advantage of the new machine is increased portability and versatility and more performance than from a single phase electric machine. I really will not miss the hot water and never did after the hot system failed on the Dixon. Also I now suck water from a container/trough, because my water flow and pressure is not adequate to keep up with the machine connected by a pipe to a tap in the dairy. My water comes from the mains but via a 15,000 litre reservoir, so no mains pressure. I like the valve that circulated water back to the container so that the pump does not overheat when not pressure washing. Mine has one of those similar to yours. I don’t particularly like my new split lance where I have to split and attach the foaming gun, but do like the Venturi system that pulls TFR from a 25 litre drum if required. I’ve blown an O ring in the split lance already when the joint came slack after changing the ends between pressure and foaming.
I got one of these for free from work on a cart. Missing a carb and needs an air filter but everything seems to work great. I was just wondering how well this can work and hopefully going to try to add this to my landscaping business I do on the side
That's a great find! Yes we run 8 of these and found they are brilliant. Definitely a good addition to your landscaping business, they are perfect for drive cleaning/building cleaning etc
I'm going to be doing some videos on this topic shortly! I'll keep you posted on when they drop. Have you set up yet or are you just in the process of thinking about starting the business?
@@trucksmartlimited I'm in the process of starting, I'm not thinking about it at all. I'm currently a diesel mechanic so I know a lot of fleets around and there's very little competition if any in my city. I want to fleet companies to be my niche
Thank you! Was it the black skid the Honda pressure washer was on? I just brought the machine like that. If your after one of the skids I would call Rutland Pumps and see if they can sell you a stainless steel one. It will last much longer. The painted black frames are looking a bit tired at the minute
