WILD CAMPING WITH MY DOG- Mental health - meditation - Bushcraft - wilderness camping trips - woodcraft - outdoor cooking - wilderness painting.
Hi, my name is Ben and I love being in nature with my dog. I create RU-vid videos to capture and document, each trip into remote wilderness areas, recording the beauty of each location and the projects I love doing. The cool thing about making these videos is that you and I can revisit that experience again and again. I really enjoy sharing them with like minded people. I believe nature is the best remedy for most of our daily stress. My hope is that through my videos, you can relax from hard days at work and enjoy the whole nature experience, eventually inspiring you to go into nature yourself.

OMG!!! Thank you soooo much for this video!!! I literally just found a tick on my poor doggy and came straight to RU-vid to find a solution. Lo and behold I found this video and as squeamish as I am, I was still able to do this wonderful quick and easy method you demonstrated. My doggy didn’t feel any discomfort and I really thought he would given the tick stuck on him on the back part of his ear closer to his head. But I did probably like 5-10 circle motions and the tick came right out!!!! You saved me $100 just now I’m beyond grateful!!! I quickly distracted the site and my dog continued with his merry business. God bless you, thank you soooo much!
I thought this was not going to work. Saw the comments, gave it a go. Problem was the tick was around the whiskers of my cat, however, he enjoyed the experience so much he fell asleep while i was "massaging" him 😄. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Went yesterday got lucky with a few good pieces,, chuffed for my first hunt , and yes it was good as it turned into an unintentional 3 hour hike , loved it and I’ll be stocking up as it was like a gold mine now I know exactly what to do n look for
No headlamps or power banks dude. I got three headlamps and three power banks lol. The most powerful headlamps you can buy. Light the place up like daytime lol. Really took the edge of getting stuck on scafell pike until 3amCamping solo in the woods is a primal experience I imagine. Hopefully will do it next year. On my list of challenges for sure
They are "VERY" disgusting, hate to touch it even with rubber cloves! I noticed one on my dog a little bit ago. Going to try your method. Thank you Sir! UPDATE: Only took about 15 seconds then just popped right off, dumped the thing into the toilet!
amazing! having tried with tweezers, my dog wasn’t having it, despite sitting on him and full scale wrestling. 10 seconds of this technique and the tic drops off still alive with its feet wriggling in the air. youtube is amazing. many thanks @ukwildcamper5166
That was wind blowing knocking things around I could see the back of his baby moving in with the wind, And that tapping sound was the trees, especially older trees that have water in them it sounds like somebody's hitting them with a branch or hammer I only know this because I had 2 very old trees behind my house that used to make those knocking sounds all the time and then when they were taken down I never heard the knocking noises again. However, I'd have been terrified.
I literally found this video after finding a tick on my little yorkie. It’s was relaxing for my little girl and it took less that 1 min fully in tact. It was like the fracking tick was enjoying the massage and thought it better come out for a full body massage! I think not! It didn’t try to jump off or anything to really easy to wash it down the sink drain. I did add some bleach to the sink hole as well. No distress to my little yorkie! And no panic appt to the vets! This tip is Gold! Thank you so much for creating this easy training! ❤
@@ukwildcamper5166 honestly, you have no idea how scared I was. Now I feel confident about any future occurrences. I’ve been telling my friends all about this video! Keep them coming. My little fur baby says thank you 🤗
It is march 26th, 2024 & i am about to try this method on my cat i let go out my big yard during the day when he wants to,has a tick. Ill be back to update. Thabks so much!
My dog won't let me near the tick I found on her. She tries to bite me. I am very frustrated. I don't want to pull her hair, and she won't let me massage it. I can't afford a vet visit for a few days
This seems like it would be a great solution under duress, but in my understanding, the problem is the rubbing may cause the tick to regurgitate its contents into the dog, which can raise the chances of Lyme or some other tick-borne illness. I think if I was stuck without tweezers, I'd be inclined to carefully wrap the tick with a tissue (to not lose it), get my nails as close to the head and skin as possible and carefully, but very quickly pull it off without squeezing it. Even if the head is left in, that might be better as it can be removed later, or the body will expel on its own. Reportedly, it doesn't really raise the chances of disease. Have never been in that position w/o tweezers, so hopefully it would go well. :) I'm in Canada and unfortunately, a number of tick diseases have gradually been moving up here. We are surrounded by forest and sadly, this area is now endemic.
I am a new dog owner, just recently adopted a two year old husky. Wasn't sure what to do, but followed your instructions, and within a minute, the tik was off with no noticeable discomfort to my dog. Thank you kindly for making this video
I had a tick on my back, sort of on the side, but difficult to reach around. I massaged that bugger as best I could for hours. I used my finger, a q-tip, cotton ball. It would not budge. Found a video by a doctor who said you could use peppermint oil and massage it in circles on the skin around the tick. I didn't have peppermint oil, but I did have eucalyptus oil. I put that on a q-tip and massaged it in circles on the skin around it. It slowly DIED, still attached! So I got a face mirror and somehow managed to figure out which direction to pull and tweeze it out. It took some effort trying to twist around and grasp it close enough to the skin, but I didn't want a dead tick dangling off my back. I think I got the head of it, but it probably regurgitated into me as it was dying. I did want to mention one way to get rid of ticks and fleas though. Diatomaceous earth. Most people don't realize that this can rid the home of fleas, ticks, bedbugs, and the like. Thought I'd share. It's pretty cheap, too.
