Di stefano. A man forgotten as far as being a great is concerned. I'm not surprise S & G went straight for him. In my club alone, Manchester United there was Sir Matt Busby, Bobby Charlton, Denis Law, George Best and Paddy Crerand who would endorse that view. I have little doubt that certainty would be replicated throughout British clubs in general - and globally. I would chose 5 to form a group of the greatest ever: Di Stefano, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo and Pele.
Uncle used to come and collect me for football on the weekend, but not before this tv gold ended. Never realised at the time i would look back with so much nostalgia. Great intro and top presenters.
I’m trying to work out when this is. They talk about Cafu’s 4th World Cup-which would make it as late as 2006. Cafu’s debut was in 1990 after Italia 90 so possibly they are confused, but this would still make it as late as 2002. Had no idea they were still on tv at this point. Wikipedia says the programme finished in 1992.
Wonder who these two would have put in their current XI from the crop of players today? Given their admiration for both Cruyff & Maradona, one imagines they'd build their team around Messi..
I ❤ Love the Intro of Saint & Greavsie & I love the Saint & Geavsie Football Quiz Games which I’ve got at home & I got A few Photos of Ian St John & Jimmy Greavsie at Home on my Wall
Just smiling all the way through this. Absolutely wonderful together. Saint and Greavsie reminds me of being a kid who loved football. Wish I could have seen Jimmy play
So funny even when they weren’t being funny. This is just 2 blokes chatting down the pub. Life was so much better back in this day. Freer. Just rolling along….RIP saint and Greavsie, great blokes
It would be nice but we can't do that 😂Greavsie is England's greatest goalscorer in my opinion. Clough got to 200goals the fastest, would of been nice to see what he could of achieved as a player if he didn't get the career ending injury. Shearer was the best goalscorer when I was growing up and my favourite player. But Good Lord, such a hard thing to do, picking an All Time XI.
RIP Saint and Greavsie. Enjoyed their TV programme in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Sadly this was lost when football sold out to Sky and the Premier League. But that is a different story................ As for their "All-Time Best XI" it lacks one thing, a defensive / box-to-box midfield player. In the 1980s this role was fulfilled by Bryan Robson. Nowadays N'Golo Kante is the man for this job.

@ Norman Giller - Four great shouts. Duncan Edwards should have been destined for great things, unfortunately he tragically lost his life in the Munich air crash.
