A random collection of videos related to my personal projects and travels. Hopefully each one contains something useful to somebody. If nothing else, I can refer back to these myself.
Thank you for this video. Getting ready to install the Ready Brake on a 2024 Ford Maverick hybrid and was up against the same decision and problem about where to drill those cables through the firewall.
I found that by using a higher grit you are less likely to go through clear. It might take longer but think of it like a haircut. You can take more off, you can’t put it back. Also by using a higher grit, I don’t have to worry about marks made by previous grit. It’s also closer to the finished result, requiring less compound. This is my experience.
Automotive batteries have a group number that makes it easier to identify the appropriate size, terminal type, and terminal location. This particular battery is a group 49.
That tiny hack PCB was a factory mod to attempt to fix some of the noise issues with the early ROM 01 boards. I don't feel it really did that much. It really wasn't until the ROM 3 that Apple properly isolated the audio which is the reason it's quieter
Good job. We've all spent time dealing with unexpected issues that pop up during a supposedly simple procedure. You just got the added bonus of getting to inspect the pretty gears too. 👍
I would say that you are EXTREMELY lucky. 1st 2 years for us, stove, refrigerator, and one AC all failed among a few other things. Not RV manufacturers fault and they basically all buy these components from the same place. Also a BIG difference as to where you buy the warranty. NEVER from the dealership!
I didn’t want to ask my dad about this task since he ends up doing it himself anyways. I was able to do the whole thing by myself in one go thanks to this video. Really appreciate it!
Thank you for putting the video together. I'm usually comfortable with air filters (cabin and engine), but seeing how tight all this stuff is has convinced me to have our local mechanic do this filter for me. I may be getting a bit lazy, I know. 🙂
Hi, did the knock-off pulsator work? I had the same problem just happen to me, so let me know before I order the knock-off. ;-) Thank you for the video. I was about to buy a new washer. Thanks!
Thanks. Very well done. We just bought our Sprinter RV. It’s sitting in storage for the winter. Would it be easier when reinstalling the beauty ring to first put your zip tip in place first and then install the beauty ring. Then secure the zip tie. Just thinking. Your way seemed to work well for you though.
Was there any rattling noise? Mine is making a noise and it seems eaither it or the water pump. It happens when it is first started, but after a minute or two of warm up it goes away, I can say it is not the engine.
Do you have a video on how to clean, repair, or replace the part on a 3 HANDLED Fairfax Bathroom sink filler or faucet ? I have low flow- both hot & cold- from one, not both faucets.
Thanks for this extremely concise video! We had the exact same issue with our 2005 XC90. We followed your video and it worked like a charm! We ALMOST took it to a mechanic to have it replaced. Saved ourselves some money!! Thank you!
I have a DH 2 304S model used it once last year brand new going to use it today and it smokes. A lot of black smoke and suck what’s wrong can you help?
after each season you need to do a "dry burn" which means that you empty almost all the Kerosene out and put it outside and let the heater burn until it goes out. It self cleans all of the build up out of the wick. Then you should be good.
That was the first step I did. Open that valve and let the water tank drain completely. I do close the valve once it is empty. Primarily so it's ready to refill in the spring.
I only used this setup once or twice. Eventually, I added a hitch to the car and now I mount the bike carrier on the car. That hitch extender along with the doubler actually extended everything 15".
