I was there brother! This was at the end of his set! Also he grabbed the choir 2 days prior! This was one of the most memorable performances and best cover songs I’ve ever seen
I just listened to Hawthorne and he’s good. Thank you. I tell people to listen to stone and Sade and now Hawthorne. The quality of the vocals. Belisimo
LA Take They Styles Back! Check out my article "Myka 9 of Freestyle Fellowship Originated the Bone Thugs Flow" (online), a chapter from Myka 9's book *My Kaleidoscope*. Myka 9 did the melodic chop first. Bone definitely knew about Freestyle Fellowship via Eazy-E and DJ U-Neek, both of whom were friends with Myka 9. Eazy had Good Lifers signed to Ruthless, and Myka 9 ghost wrote a song on the first NWA album. Myka 9's verse in Freestyle Fellowship's "Mary" is the blueprint for Bone's entire career. Bone was not rapping in that style yet on Faces of Death, their style changed significantly when they came to LA.
What u mean faces of death was horrible and the raps were slow. u just making things up. hear this, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony - Flow motion (Faces of death)
Freestyle Fellowship never said they stole their styles it was Abstract Rude who told them to leave his style alone. Freestyle Fellowship and Bone never had beef or anything to do with one another.
What I am old enough to remember. 😅 I thought the beef was because it was because Bone stole their style from that other group and completely changed their sound and was getting death threats in Ohio
Oh shit. I never heard of these guys. They sound good. I've been a huge Bone fan since their very first single "Thuggish Ruggish Bone". Obsessed. This song definitely remind me of Bone.
Actually they didnt rap like that on the first album. And faces of death was not horrible for a first album by teenagers. But yes More Harmony came Later but yes after hearing mary.. it sounds very suspected. But if Lazy n Kray took from Fellowship... then Bizzy took from (Snow) Flesh took from ( Paperboy) and Wish ( SPICE 1 KINDA)
