Spoilers for CS1-4 Tbh Crow really desperately needed a redemption arc or any form of clarification on his morals. As it stands he is an incredibly selfish individual who endangered countless innocent lifes in his quest for revenge(an incredibly petty revenge non the less). He and his terrorist squad worked alongside the racially motivated calvardian terrorists in their attempt to blow up Orchis tower during the West Zemuria Trade Conference which if it had succeeded would've destabilized multiple nations on a governmental level. Also the railway cannon incident which would've lead to the destruction of crossbell and the loss of countless lives. The Civil War was pretty much something he willingly started fully aware of all the consequences. But we never really get to catch a break to see where he is at now, he spends most of his time being evil, dead or mindcontrolled. He also doesn't really feel bad at all about anything, nor does he mind too much that Osborne survived. Its not like Trails doesn't have a large amount of characters with bloody pasts but most of them either feel remorse and have since changed or they are villains who are portrayed as such. Coldsteel romanticizes Crow to no end but most of his screen time is spent on "Hey here is crow look at how cool he is" when we should really get a look at his inner workings because leaving them unexplained only leaves his actions and they paint a pretty bad picture. I understand why Rean chased him during CS2, Rean doesn't want to let go of his new "home" that he found in Class 7, but Class 7 don't have that excuse. I hope they bring Crow back on his own during Calvard at some point.
I love your work on this, especially seeing not only did crow have a lasting effect on rean and Class 7 but Me as well I̶'̶d̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶a̶l̶y̶s̶i̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶C̶r̶o̶w̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶C̶S̶3̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶4̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶d̶a̶y̶
One of my gripes is how perverted he is. The swimsuits at the camping trip, signing the girls up for the beauty pageant without them knowing, the peeping in the post-Hollow Forest cutscene, and several instances of him wanting to see more of the girls. There's also the stuff about him being worried around kanji. The teasing is ok, but that scene in the tent is not so easy to excuse. I understand that he was worried about sleeping close to kanji, but it can't off as really rude. He's not the only one: in several mediums, the protagonist is touchy about it as well. Was it unfound? Honestly, yes. Kanji wasn't perverted or creepy, just confused. However, as seen is later cutscenes, he seems to get over his fear. Though, this part, as I said before, I can understand, and at one point, I would likely have said something like that. I love this guy. He's my favorite of the bros across P3, P4, and P5, and as was mentioned in the video, his thinking makes him vital to the story, and his growth seems believable. I find the friendship between him and Yu to be more credible since Minato/Makoto and Junpei don't spend the necessary time together for them to be considered friends. Ryuji has Joker help him with with the track team coup, while having some genuine friendship moments. Yosuke's link is entirely devoted to helping him, ending with Yu helping Yosuke vent. Is this a matter of preference? Yes, and I only said that I find one relationship to be more credible than the others. However, Yosuke's flaws, though few, are REALLY hammered home and seen as comic relief.
Lmao, nope. If he actually wants to fire those cannons, he can make it up on purpose so team B can't reach the cannon in time. He even prepare a recorded voice of his in the ship, that means he already planned to stop the cannon, did you even play the game? Lol
@@jackngo9338 Not really. The ILF's plan, and by extention Crow's, was never to fire the railway cannons, it was to prove that they could have. It was a show of force. That they were a legitimate threat that couldn't just be swept under the rug. Whether or not Vulcan, Scarlet and Gideon were aware of this or not is unclear, but Crow knew that Towa wasn't in any legitimate danger. He even said, as C, that the operation went exactly as planned after Vulcan and Scarlet were forced to retreat.
@@jackngo9338 And? They're terrorists. The fact that Crow had no intention of firing the cannons doesn't justify his participation or that of the ILF, it only means that Towa specifically was in no real danger and that destroying the Orchis Tower wasn't their actual objective.
He's basically the combination of a memelord, edgelord, and virgin mixed into one. The first time I played through the first game I kinda had a hunch that crow would be C, but I didn't expect him to pull an Adachi at the very end
Well he and vita were confirmed to be a thing in the past in cs4 and they... Did stuff (it's a duvalie sized spoiler, which is fitting as they were literally having a moment talking about it over her lol point is they confirmed he isn't a virgin, and it wasn't a embarrassing story, for him atleast)
Yosuke is a controversial character in Western perspective. His antics with Kanji definitely wouldn't fly in a Western society, and even get him canceled. Also, we also don't know why the fuck he revolve his resolve around a girl faking sincerity whenever they worked together. Saki completely disregarded him. The more you think about it, Yosuke's life fucking _sucks_ He's got the charm of a frat boy, the handsomeness of a bowel moment, the coolness of a loser--hell, Yosuke deludes himself to carry on for Saki even if he's aware she truly gave no fucks about him. Yosuke's story is done poorly and is one of the weaker characters of the story. Yes, Yosuke is a total bro, a boy's boy. But he's a homophobic, perverted, annoying, inconsiderate dick who gossips to you behind other's back, says unknowingly offensive shit that gets his ugly stares and hits at people, always fucks up something cool he's actively involved in...even the game realizes how much of a disappointment he is with "Captain Ressitment." Does Yosuke deserve hate? No. Can I understand where his criticism comes from, from a Western perspective of different societal standards? Yes. Give Yosuke a proper romance. Saki never liked him, he's a dumbass for continuing to simp for her. He's pathetic, and the game takes it time to address that.
Aside from Narukami, Yosuke is my favorite character in Persona 4, and all of these reasons are why. Yosuke is best bro and he's the best friend I wish I had in real life.
My thoughts on yosuke are dependant on the scene. In some scene hes a downright sexist homophobic piece of shit (and dont hit me with the "hes a teen they do that" argument i didnt tell my female friends to wear bikinis i bought for them behind their back because they cooked bad) but in others i love him like how he literally was yus shoulder to cry on in the anime or his slink.
