@rickyshinobi2303 ...im.curious if your experience will be similar to mine ..it's now been a year and a couple.of months since I've gone...sad face 😢 lol
Hello! The sports bar was lively...mainly outside, the pool during the day had a dj, the one eyed cat lounge was pretty good. And that's about it..lol I would say entertainment isn't their strong suit. It's more about service and relaxation. Also 8:48 we got a good volleyball game going so that was fun..we had a whole bunch of people join us and we played that for a good hour or two. We left and people were still playing. That was the best entertainment the whole three days I was there lol
Hello Kelvin! At night they had one show that to me really wasn't that good. Now the entertainment could change since I went last year...however at night it wasn't that lively. I will say in the one eye cat lounge that was fun They had a piano player and he was playing 70s and 80s music. People were dancing and really having a good time.
Awwwww!!!! You are most welcome!Thank you so much. I tried to get some good footage, and I love when people give me feedback;) I hope you go and enjoy it:)
What options were available in the evenings other than the sports bar? My husband and I are going without kids. We don't want frat club vibes, but would like options for things to do after the evening show. We would be best described as being in the middle. We don't want a frat party but we don't want it dead. Do you think we would enjoy this resort? My only hesitation is the lack of evening activity, but we are 100% sold on everything else.
Hi :) The only other night life is the One Cat Eye lounge....I put a small clip at the end of it...it was just a lounge that people went to. They also had a person playing the piano, playing lively music like I would say, 70s and 80s songs. But other than that, thats it:( They really need more nightlife. It is boring at night, in my opinion...but its still relaxing. Also, during the day at the pool they are playing top 40s and hip hop music, so that was fun, but at night literally just the one cat lounge, dinners, and the sports lounge. Which prob will be dead at like 1030 11. Hope this helps...❤ please feel free to ask me any more questions... I'll get back to you faster!
Hi!!! Thank you for the comment. I am so glad it was helpful! Sure thing..so there are two ways. 1. You can get a chase Hyatt card..it's called World of Hyatt. They give you points after you spend a certain amount of money. There is an annual fee of 95 but they give you a free night in a hotel once a year, so the 95 pays for itself. For me, I got the Chase Sapphaire Reserve card. They give you 60k points after you spend 4k in 3 months. Its also 95 a year but has other benefits from the World of Hyatt. Then you can transfer your points to Hyatt at a 1 to 1 ratio. So if you have 60k points you can transfer to Hyatt 60k points. Then book the hotel on the Hyatt website by using your points:) At the time of this booking, the points were 25k a night. So I stayed 3 days and 2 nights. Which was 50k points. Hope this helps! Maybe I'll do a video on it.
Really! Nice! Yes I will have to agree it's not much action its definitely relaxing, and the service is top notch. If they add a little more action at night then I think it would be even better. But it's all about what you are going there for. Thanks for your comment!
I think I'll try the hard rock next year. I think these two would be the extreme of the other... where one is relaxing and calm and the other is more upbeat and lively! Now to find one that has both would be the next search
🤗 Hi Tiffany!! Thank you! Yaaay... please let me know your thoughts when you get back. Hope you have a great experience!!! Make sure you get the lobster at the buffet, the butter chicken and the cheese Naan at Journey's if you like Indian food!
Thanks for the video! I just booked this a couple days ago and when checking in tonight, I found out the agent booked Ziva instead of Zilara that I told the agent. Its just the two of us with no kids, so I was shocked when looking at travel information. I was debating whether I should call tomorrow and try to correct it. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't get what we thought we were getting, but your video made me feel better about both sides being good. We have room with an ocean view. I used Costco travel. I'm thinking she got confused after she tried booking and it said the flights weren't available anymore and she had to start all over. Sigh! I saw that you don't need to tip, but then it saw other videos where people did.
Hi Mark thanks for your comment!! Yes you will be fine, I promise! Ziva side is also nice, and you can literally be on the Zilara Side all day if you want!
Also I did tip the bar and servers, but you don't have to! You can tip however much you want or not at all. It doesn't give you those vibes of feeling like you're obligated to tip..which is what probably made me tip lol
Boring hotel… food is above average but breakfast sucks… customer service sucks as well! the staff talking shit about guest right in front of them… only reason I was able to pick up on it is bc I speak Spanish/Dominican. Drinks are weak!!! Even if you get the premium package doesn’t matter… still weak. We spent 7k for a week here and left so disappointed that we will never return to DR
Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience! This is one of the resorts husbae and I are looking at for our anniversary! Sanctuary Cap Cana looks beautiful as well and got awesome reviews! Decisions! lol
Hi Noemi!!!! Thanks for the comment! I looked at that one, too! And the Secrets in Cap Cana as well. All of the reviews were good. I went with this one because it was newer. It was built towards the end of 2019 I believe.. it's just a few years old and the newest hotel in Cap Cana I believe. However, I'm sure you can't go wrong, and it's all on the same strip so you can walk down to the hyatt beach area too. Plus I chose it because you can access both sides as an adult...so I liked that too. When are you planning on going? Wherever you go I'm sure you will have a great time!
@@fgaines1000 Yes! I did see it's fairly new and that's a plus, as well as access to 2 resorts! I haven't looked at the Secrets yet but we're definitely feelin' Hyatt. We stayed at Hyatt in Hawaii and Clearwater beach and no complaints! We're planning for August! It's our 25th!!
@Noemi Colon Aww! That's a long time... Congrats! Every single person there made me feel so welcomed. The service was top-notch and the resort was very clean. The drinks were good and so fancy with their garnishes on the drinks. Depending on how long you are staying, maybe you can break up the resorts..lol couple of days at Hyatt and a couple at Sanctuary 😆 Whichever you decide, let me know:)
Hi Charles! I actually didn't have any problems finding seating. I will say in the early afternoon people start to leave their towels on the chairs, but still I was able to find seating in the pool areas and in the beach areas.
Hi Rick B! Have you gone to this resort? You didn't like it? Hawaii is nice too...just wondering why you wouldn't want to recommend here? Share your experience
@@fgaines1000 never been there but I have been to Punta Cana... and its well... not for me and a waste of money if you could goto much better places..... hawaii was perfect... top of the line resorts and top quality beaches.... it was all top quality.
@@fgaines1000 I was at the grand wailea, waldorf astoria.... I can't ever goto a Caribbean places ever again after being there.... its another experience.
Hey.. Thanks for your video. I just returned back home from staying at the Hyatt Zilara.. I had watched your video 3-4 times & others before booking my stay & it was exactly as your video stated.. Beautiful & Amazing.. I wish that I was still there and will be going back again that's for sure.. The beach was real cool and the water was warm.. The food at the many restaurants were great and the buffet at both Mercado & Pier were awesome too.. I also had a fun time at the waterpark.. Thanks for sharing!!
You're welcome K B !!!!! THAT IS AWESOME! omg I am so happy you had an amazing time!!! 👏 love that we shared the same experience. I wanted to try so many of the other restaurants and only was able to do the two, and I didnt go to the Waterpark but heard great things. Thanks so much for coming back and giving an update. I really appreciate it. Now we both are just going to have to go back.
Hi! Thank you for your comment and feedback! I used my hyatt points, so I didn't pay anything out of pocket, however when I went, it was equivalent to 850 to 900 a night. If you book on booking.com I think you have up until like 48 hours to cancel and then you can choose the option to pay at the hotel
Hi Jon!!! Thanks for your question! When I went, it was 800 to 900 a night..depending on room category. However, in looking for April and May, it looks like prices are roughly 790 to 1000 a night. So, it's pretty much the same .lol It is pricey. I had gone for only 3 days and 2 nights. But it was worth it.
Indeed Hyatt Cap Cana is absolutely gorgeous 😍. As an adult I preferred Zilara- I went to Ziva Waterpark 🥳, and some restaurants accorded to my mood lol, and availabilities. Indian Restaurant is Journey’s, Tempest is the Asian 😉. Agreed, at night Zilara specially can have more than just the show, but I guess is a tranquil place 😍. One of my favs 💛
YES!!! Absolutely!! When did you go? Have you gone to any other Ziva/Zilara Property? There is one in Jamaica and Mexico, I believe. That's one thing I didn't do is the Waterpark. Guess I am just going to have to go back 😆
@@fgaines1000 Yes, I went to Zilara Cancun once 💛. The waterpark is the best lol. I’ll be back to Cap Cana this year, I might due Secrets Cap Cana, right next to Hyatt property 😍🙌🏽
@Jinette Diaz Nice!!! When you go to the Secrets in Cap Cana, let me know how it is. I think thats owed by Hyatt too! If that one is nice , I'll check that out next time I go.
Hi! Thank you for your comment! Not at all dead. In the pool area, they played Top 40s music. And even some Rap and R&b, but mostly top 40s! Also, there were a lot of people playing volleyball and drinking at the swim up bar. It looks dead in video because I filmed this at like 8 in the morning, and no one was out yet. I will say, though, it's not at all a party resort. But if you are with the right group you can absolutely have fun. Hope this helps!:)
Oh, they also had workout classes in the pool, and the one day there was like 20 people dancing in the workout class going throughout the pool and then people started to join in. Also, they have various activities throughout the day. One of the days they had painting on the beach. So they have an intenerary for the day filled with activities!
Hi Sami! Thanks for your comment! Yes! Ziva guests can eat, drink, and enjoy all of the amenities on both sides. You have to be 21 and up, however. So if you are 21 and up, you go bounce back and forth between both sides... you can be on the Zilara side the whole time if you want, even if you booked on the Ziva Side. There are no restrictions except the age.
Hi, thank you for your comment! So I had that concern as well. When I was looking at the reviews, that is what alot of people were mentioning. So I did some research, and I came across another youtube video, and the women lived in the Domican Republic. She said in the early part of the year, there is less seaweed. During the summer months(hotter) that is when there is more seaweed. So I think less seaweed during Jan, Feb, March, and April. Also the resort has a blocker in the ocean to prevent seaweed, and they rake it up every morning. When I went, I saw pretty much zero seaweed.
Thank you for your comment! Sure thing. The price when I went in February was 850 to 950 a night, depending on the room category. I was in the junior suite double. Which was 875. However, I did see that at some point, it was over 1000 a night. Insane. But it looks like in June it will be 515 to 600 a night. That's a good deal. So, really, it depends on the time you are going. I hope this helps!;)
Hi, thanks for your comment! Complaining is an expression of dissatisfaction..so the goal of this channel is to provide my experience and what to possibly expect... whether good or bad, I like to be honest. Check out my other videos and let me know what you think!
😍 It sure is!! You are absolutely correct. The reviews are what got my attention. All of them were saying such great things And it really lived up to the hype. Thanks for your comment!
