I am in love with your artstyle! I know artists develop their own unique artstyle over time and practice, but just for reference what would you call this specific type of art? I just love it so much 💕
Hi, and thank you. I’m not quite sure what you mean, but I would categorize this piece as concept art as the “type of art”, which showcases a design or visualized idea of a character/object/environment. As for art style, I dislike categorization because of the current modern-day implication that any art can be algorithmically reproduced with, say, a simple genre input into an ai generator, or that artists are reducible/replaceable entities in the eyes of corporations. I know you meant well so I’m not mad, only wish to inform of my own distaste for categorization. I am influenced by 20th century “golden-age” illustration, 60s cartoons, french/belgian comics, theater costumes, german expressionism, and italian cinema. So whatever comes out of mashing all those things in a blender I guess 😅
@@GaruxPuru I'm so sorry!! What you said is exactly what I meant, I just didn't know how to put it into words correctly (english is not my firts language), artists all have their own unique style so putting a name to each of them would make no sense, and I love observing the process of how they all constantly evolve. I should've asked what your inspirations were xd so sorry, and thank you so much for responding 💜
I can imagine these two running one of those creepy public access shows, with Joker making bizarre paintings and Harley hosting a puppet show with thinly veiled versions of other characters.
Daniil: My atheism grants me thanatophobia. Imma cure biology to be immortal. Clara: I accept Powers That Be as my deities and saviours. Haruspex: I'm your average ISTP survival horror protagonist, basically.
Just wanted everyone to know that i watch this animation religiously every day and im beggining to hear it in my head at random times. Never played the game.
You don't have to play it. It's a melancholic jank designed to be a tragedy rather than dopamine exerter on purpose. Also, everyone is actually secretly a homunculus of sort, puppets, so you aren't really killing or saving everyone during the game because the game had to make it clear that it's just a game, destruction of immersion be damned. Get ready to save scum.
@@rico-fs1cr bro i know its a game. it telling me that it is doesn't change anything. i want to play pretend with it. it's all one big theatre and i love theatre. also, i knew all that, but imagine if i hadn't. don't go around spoiling games to strangers interested in said games.
@@bartex4903he didn’t really spoil huge chunks of it. there are some 4th wall breaks in pathologic but it’s not bothersome at all and even executed well in my opinion.(and I guess that guy doesn’t like being told that he’s playing a video game lol) and if you’re ever planning on playing pathologic then I suggest starting with the second game.
I know this is random, but this is the highest like to dislike ration I've ever seen. 12000 likes and 16 dislikes. That's 750 likes per dislike! Edit: Now it's 13000 likes and 16 dislikes. That's 812.5 likes per dislike!
I really an enamored by this, I never thought I'd see a giallo & anime (adjacent) sort of mish-mash. You completely nailed the style and paid awesome homage to the giallo genre with this. Artwork is stellar in general; your work is very stylized but you know how to render your forms so that they do read as depthful and real. Awesome stuff!
OMG YESS!! Absolutely amazing as always, I love watch your process sm and your song choices are always brilliant! I genuinely loop your "I can do miracles!" Video for the songs and I could just watch you draw forever 🫶
clara's little shrug at the player and shadow at 3:10! btw, where is this audio from? I've played the intro to classic hd many times and there are lines here I never remember hearing
@@GaruxPuru I mean, it could be either translated to "canto" (Chant) or "pianto" (Cry), the latter is more literal but I think an adaptation would fit better with something more poetic knowing how Italian stuff tends to be a bit melodramatic. There's an even more literal translation that would be "Mugghiare" but I didn't even know it was a word before Umineko, and just like me I don't think that many other italians are accustomed to it. Still, I was amazed when I found out that Akiko Shikata used it in the lyrics for the opening song.
OH my gosh what the heck!!! I saw that you had released a new video (I think about your pathologic opening constantly) and looked at the cover and was like ??? it looks like beatrice??? and IT WAS BEATRICE oh my gosh ,,, this is so stylish you completely captured all of their vibes,,, I'm only on chapter like 6?? I believe?? but from what I can see you jam packed so much symbolism into all of the backgrounds... I especially love the Hideyoshi one it's fantastic... and maria looks so cute... I'm just floored by the absolutely perfect way you translated them into your style... especially the sisters (and sister in law) I'm just so happy to see them done right... Natsuhi is PERFECT!!! (And I hardly ever see people draw the men.. I myself am afraid of drawing older men and find it quite difficult, but you somehow make their faces look EXACTLY like them despite it being a wildly different style) Sorry to ramble so long, I'm just so increbily lucky to be able to see this, I've been a fan of your unique art style for so so long and it's crazy to see you do Umineko such a fine tribute... I can't wait to rewatch this daily for the foreseeable future... Thank you for sharing to the very niche umineko fandom aljd;akdsfjl; (I just realized - I didn't comment on Beatrice - she was so fantastic that no words need to be spoken.. You made her so elegant, creepy, and wonderful, I love her in the backgrounds of the other characters... )
This is really, really good. Is it me or is umineko starting to get some recognition again for some reason? Did something happenned when I was not looking, or is it just a case of internet having my data and feeding me what I've looked at recently?
