I would think the benefit of game fish waters is far more important than a parking lot for ships….. planet always takes the hit so people can line there pockets with money to blow on toys and junk….
Only been to the Keys once, never did fly fishing for tarpon, went out on HCH and Fishmonster , Tarpon Diem and had a blast . Oh and a couple of party boats. The Duval Flu is for soft southerners and non celts. Had a blast and hope to be back before I hang up my hat. One of the coolest places I've ever been, just adult's being themselves.
Or as the video says.... Less like a fight and more like a dance And you can do this with like minded friends, family, brothers. Each and every good place has a beat and it was an honour to dance to that beat over 10 year's ago...
Shameful if that passes, I still haven't fished the keys which i once hope to do. Keep fighting it, we lost a smiliar battle here is Oslo, Norway unfortunately :/
Great video , my thought would be you already have cruise ships coming and going that keep the keys plenty busy , keep it that way and keep an environment that will not only keep Fishermen coming but keep the ecosystem intact . Don’t let them tell you it’s progress or inevitable, it’s not .
“Strike a balance”. Asking somebody to meet you in the middle has become taboo. Sad state of affairs. It’s happening with hydro power in the northeast. Our all or nothing culture is a killer.
That footage was sick! Can believe I just now found this video. Cruise ships are like jet skis, total nuisance. Though I realize cruise ships are way more destructive. I heard during early covid key west Harbour was clearer than it had been in 40 years because cruise ships couldn't come in. Shame. Keep up the fight boys.

Every time I see a pic or a video with a permit on a fly, I start thinking how to sell a kidney... Dream fish, without any ordinary explanation. Wish the fishing places were closer to my country and more a reality than a dream...

I've been watching your videos for yrs. But for some reason my 6mo. Old son will stare at this video on repeat until he falls asleep next to me while we watch.(must be in his blood) Keep up the good work guys ..and thanks .
Awesome! Way to share the fun and passion with new anglers and new generations ... which ultimately leads to conservation and protection of such a special resource. This is so great. Going to share it with my 13 year old son who I am bringing down to fish the Florida Keys for the first time ever in April. Thanks for such a great piece, that he will be able to identify with.
