Many thanks, to add to this. The components of a pericardial friction rub include a presystolic rub when the atria contract, a systolic rub during ventricular contraction (this is the loudest part) and a diastolic rub.
@@Ekohealth Why the A.I option is not available in other countries? What difference does it make? I wish i knew this before I buy it. You guys don't say that in anywhere. Now i spent a lot of money and can't use it properly in my country. That doesnt make any sense.
Is this useful in veterinary medicine? Mainly using for detecting heart rate. Family is getting me a gift for graduating! Also for the Littman CORE, it can detach and you can utilize just the bell and the digital attachment and connect to a Bluetooth device to listen with. Can you do the same with the 500?
The CORE 500 works as a stethoscope for veterinary; however, fur will get in the way of ECG reading, and yes, the Littmann CORE can be used wirelessly, similar to the CORE 500.
Would you happen to know how this stethoscope translate into veterinary medicine? Would you happen to have any DVM or DVM cardiologist that utilizes this stethoscope?
Yes - you can either pair through your headphone adapter or via Bluetooth through the Eko App. Learn more at www.ekohealth.com/blogs/eko-blog/stethoscopes-for-hearing-loss
didn't know i needed to be a verified active medical professional to use this. i'm a student and there's no option for me to verify my account without medical professional credentials.
Students are welcome to use the CORE 500 Digital Stethoscope. We do have a disclaimer that medical professionals should interpret any AI findings, but you should have full access to the tools based on your membership. Please email support@ekohealth.com so we can look at your specific details.
I can't find the AI setting for detecting abnormalities. While this stethoscope is excellent and worth the price, I wish the AI interpretation feature actually worked, as I couldn't find it
This makes me wonder now. I ordered the stethoscope model before the 500. It's dang near over 400 bucks🤦♂️. Does EKO realize EMS workers don't wanna pay that much on our salary? The 500 is appealing to MD,NP, and PA. 🤦♂️ I really hope the one I bought will give me some reliable sound working in urban Milwaukee EMS. Or I might just have to send it back. Thoughts @Eko
I am using this in India. I hope it gets officially launched here. My mind is blown. Now I auscultate patients way more often than I used to 😅 in the process, my patients feel more cared for and I get to use this device more often
For anyone who would like to know more about the accuracy of Eko core 500 ECG - This is a copy/ paste from the producer's website: "You can use the integrated ECG to quickly evaluate the electrical activity of the patient’s heart. The device is not intended for diagnostic purposes. The device uses dry electrodes and isn’t recommended for determining the absolute amplitude of the ECG signal. We recommend that the device display and the Eko App be primarily used for rhythm analysis. While it is not a diagnostic tool, the CORE 500™ can help you to detect the presence of conditions that need more investigation. This helps to better focus further workup and testing for the patient so that an accurate diagnosis can be reached. While the CORE 500™ should not be used to calculate the absolute amplitude of the ECG, it can visualize the rate and rhythm of the heart similarly to a 12-lead ECG. The ECG waveform for channel 1 can be viewed on the device screen. The waveforms for all 3 channels can be viewed in the Eko App. When the device is placed on the left upper sternal border (LUSB), and with the top electrodes horizontal (see Capturing ECG below), the 3 channels of the ECG correspond to modified leads I, II and III" You are welcome : )
WARNING: A GREAT DEVICE WITH A VERY POOR SERVICE. THey have a very poor service. I availed eko core attachment last May 2021. Today I am having a problem, my eko core attachment is not charging. I contact them through chat support to inquire. And they told me they don't have parts for a replacement of the battery and EVEN IF i asked them i am willing to pay for repair service, they told me that they cannot do anything. Again eko core can do its job BUT AFTER YOUR WARRANTY PERIOD they do not have any replacementa for battery and THEY DO NOT OFFER repair. It is just a waste of money.
I just wish Littmann didn’t d/c the 3200 electronic - I still use and love it, just wish I could easily transfer sound recordings to physicians when there’s something abnormal heard. There’s no way to update the 3200 and or have it serviced. It’s such an amazing stethoscope idk why they didn’t continue it.
