Hi there, welcome to my channel! I am a UK based gremlin who has no idea what she's doing! I use Vtuber models for my content which I created myself,
I don't post very often, but I aim to try and upload a few things now and then ranging from art related content to game play. We will see what life brings! Fighting social anxiety let's gooo
Hi! Can I ask how long it took you to draw the model and how long in took you to rig the whole model even after this video? I am thinking about getting into vtube spaces so you answer will help me understand what I’m getting into. Thank you in advance!
@@DeyuYuso hi! Time really depends on your own workflow and speed. Drawing the model doesn’t really take much longer than drawing a regular picture for me but I space it out over a couple of days to reduce pain flare ups in my drawing hand. If I were to sit down and draw the model from sketch to fully coloured it might take 5-8 hours. Rigging is a bit more time consuming for me as I’m still very new to it. I can’t say exactly how many hours it took as I didn’t really keep track, but probably roughly around 10-15 hours, doing 2-4 hours a day? For this model I haven’t done much after this video as I haven’t had time, but previous models I’ve done maybe a couple of hours worth of little tweaks now and then. I’m not the most observant person so even now I see things on past models and go back and fix things 😂 I’d say have a go and see how things go! Live2D has a free trial (I was able to make 3 models in the trial time) and there are loads of step by step tutorials on RU-vid to follow for rigging and setting up on vtube studio 👍 honestly if someone with 1 brain cell like me can do it anyone can
@@runefaire thank you so much for your answer! Almost 24 hours(non-stop) on a model? Now I’m scared =,3 But I really like your model, and tell your doggie I said hi!
@@DeyuYuso haha thank you! And don't worry, you don't really notice the time it takes it is a lot of fun. Seeing each part start to move in the preview window gave me motivation to finish the next part and see it come to life :D but I do also tend to hyperfocus and want to finish things ASAP lol
This Video gave me the insight I needed to actually get started learning Live 2D. This is a Good Brief of what you need to go through and need to know when rigging your Vtube Model. I'll be using this as a Reference a lot. Thanks for this
That one is on my list for sure 😁 currently saving for a new GPU before my computer can handle recording PC games. Should hopefully get one next month 👍
I really like your doodles, I dont think they are bad or something to be embarrased. Thank you so much to share it with us <3 I really like ur vibe, see you soon <3
Dammit. Now I wanna try Live2d. Also, is Live3D worth it? I hear there's a complementary app that lets the user use their l3d model's head instead of their actual head as an overlay without a mo-cap gear. I don't remember the name of that app, but it appears to only exist for the iPhone? Am I wrong? Or was I looking for the wrong app in the Google Play Store?
I've been doing Live2D since 2019 and even then there are always something new to learn and discover. The key is to never settle on a certain "quality", you can always improve and there are always new "trends" going on in the Live2D community that you can challenge yourself to doing. Having good understanding on art fundamentals like anatomy and basic of animation will also help you a lot in improving your work. Good luck on your Live2D journey! Let's go make the vtubing scene more awesome than ever!
I totally agree! It’s great that there’s always something new to try. Starting out there are so many options to play around with too which helps motivate you to keep going and also so many creators out there to inspire you to try new things as well :D
