If you're going to use a computer generated voice at least take 10 minutes to listen back and fix all the ridiculous mistakes. "World War Eye Eye?" Come on, don't be so lazy.
Whether these 1950s NYC citizens realized it or not, after WWII the USA became (officially) the top world power. But like now, as back then, American society was very stratified.
You only have to give me 20 seconds with a video, and I know if it has been AI generated. This one has. The writing is pap and the narration shows not awareness of English. Go eff yourselves.
I wish that creators wouldn't use computer-generated narration. The pronunciation and, as in this case, the spacing of the words come off as artificial, and it's a bit annoying.
I would have loved to sample the food. One photo shows a store front selling sandwiches, chocolate shakes and malted milk. I can taste them. Real food, and with the smell coming from the pizza parlor down the street, you could move on to that later. I spent time in Boston in the 60's and recall the endless pizza and sub shops, never having tasted better after I moved west.
I’d love to take the best things of every generation and create a composite in a single generation. They were definitely some aspects of the 50s that are so much better than today. Every decade had its highs and lows. Unfortunately today it’s mostly Lows
Open border people bringing their bad habits here has spoiled it for many Americans. They have no respect or decency for their self or others.🇺🇸 New York city was great in the 50's but now it's a different time and place.
the fifties cars were very comfortable for kids to sit on....no one ever chased us off.....I'd like to be able to go back as an adult and explore....so who took these historic photos.....as on the subway or the kids playing stick ball in front of a Kosher butcher shop.
Ahhhh the good ole days when men were men women were women ,,, now we got nose lip eye brow piercings, tatoos, blue spike hair, transgenders, climate change planet freaks lol
What a difference from the later 70s with panhandlers coming to your vehicle at traffic lights rubbing dirty rags on your windshield, then expecting you to give them money!
A bit too much restoration used here. Great video but colours in places totally unreal. Some people just don't know when to stop. A favourite saying of mine is: "Some things are SO good they're NO good."
I know our society is better off today than back then in many, many ways such as science and medicine just to name two. BUT, I think we have lost a lot over the decades. People back then were more respectful of themselves and others. Today when you go almost anywhere you can see people who look like they crawled out from under a rock...or out of a cave. They look like trash. They seem to have no respect for themselves or those around them.
Did anyone notice that the 3rd. slide of the video on New York show’s an iconic image of State street Chicago? While the State Lake theater now longer exists the Chicago Theater is alive and doing well!
The coloring is very nice. It would make your video better if you had the names or locations on the video of what or the location. . giving you a like.
Thank you! Unfortunately, a good number of these photos don't come with an address, and I want to be certain I'm not sharing any inaccurate information.
