I would say that meeting went very well! That owl is very patient, meanwhile the hummingbird was super spaztastic constantly flying around like that. But what they lack in size they make up for speed.
That turned out amazing! I have been waiting to this exact same at my new home, but I was thinking of doing the finished basement stairs the same. But the total cost is so much. Love how it turned out! I’ll be watching your other videos now!
I'm undecided between jumping from 80D to 90D or EOS R. I like to shoot images and more and more leaning to video. Having the Full Frame would be awesome to finally have. Both have their video specs almost similar, the bitrates being the main quality difference I feel. Even with the EOS R 120 being 720 vs the 90D, the bitrate is higher on the EOS R that the difference is not really all that major. Im in a lot space :P
4k zoom, not standard, shows more definition and is overall sharper. With slow-motion, it's softer (just like 1080p). Manual focus without an external monitor will be tricky at wider aperture.
You're telling me a structural wall can be removed, and then add a 500lb stair case onto that and an engineer signed off on that by simply adding 2 LVLs onto an existing header? That's crazy as hell..... (4' cantilever, definitely contains load.)
Please post more 90D 4k videos but can you also keep the live sound - music is great but it would be great to hear how the onboard mics perform. It’s great to see actual videos from the camera.
I'm ready to sell my 80D at tax time and then upgrade to a 90D to finally shoot 4k video. I saw the 120fps was a feauture and thought about how that will work for making a slow mo video. I had a Sony HC-7 prosumer handicam that would shoot a few seconds of video at 120fps then create a slow mo video from it. But this will be so much better.
Great video! Perfect for this time of the year too (even if it summer here in Australia lol). Really showcases the quality of the 90D and the ability of the camera operator.
Better low noise on high ISO photos? (Compered to 80D.) - Did you make color corrections and/or use a LUT in post on this video? - Looks very good - Better than 80D video...
After filming with this camera some more, I noticed there is quite a bit of noise in 400 ISO and above in SLoMO, but not as bad in 4K. There is noise in the still images RAW and JPG (Lightroom/Photoshop), but they are sharper than the 80D. This camera is worth it just for the 4K.
Damn! That looks amazing. I shoot on the 80d and really want that 120fps. I hate that 90d didn't do 24fps but I hear they're making firmware for it. Like some of the other comments I've read I'm not sure if I will go for the 90d or jump on up to the EOS R. That 120fps looks amazing though. Great shot.
Thanks Friday Night Films! After trying both cameras, I just couldn't get over the digital viewfinder quality when taking photos with the EOS R, it was not realistic and hard to see focus. I also tried it with my SmallHD Focus and the camera had so many glitches. The main one was the monitor only turned on when the camera was recording. What? Plus the fact that there isn't a quick way to go from photo to video also stirred me to the 90D. Love the 90D's 4K (now with 24fps). Having the option to crop in the camera is a plus for me to get even closer to birds, but using it in a 1080p timeline has 50% more zoom! Bird faces! Recently I have edited with some 80d and the 90d footage and there is more detail with the 90D. Good luck with your choice. :)
@@avideodesign5604 How is focusing on 120fps? Is manual focusing easy when tracking moving subjects? And how is the focus peak option? Does it really help to track fast objects or general distance subjects like birds? Soz for sooo many questions. About to buy the camera so wanna be really certain about the slow mo feature. Cheers bro x
I would move to a 90D from an 80D in a heartbeat. Here in Toronto the EOS R is $2399.00 vs $1499.00 for a 90D. That’s a deal breaker right away. The slow motion looks wonderful. Is the slow motion file viewable right out of the camera?
We ordered, I believe, in August completed in December. There were a few hiccups that made it longer, but the actual project, once we got the correct materials, was about a month of non-stop working. It saved us a lot of money to do it ourselves, but boy, it was a real pain at times. Most DYI projects are a hassle and this was a big one, but if you think you can get it done right, it is worth it. My husband's engineering skills were a necessity.
We got the entire set up from StairSupplies out of Florida (custom made there). www.stairsupplies.com/product-category/floating-stairs/. It did take a lot of engineering prep work for the correct specs up front before they could start to make them to code. We sent them a sample of our CoreTec floor and they matched the stair treads to it perfectly. We are very happy with these stairs, they have put a modern edge into our 90's house and is now the centerpiece.
We ordered them through StairSupplies in FL. I guess they got them from you :). I definitely stand behind your products! Let me know if ViewRail is ever in need of promo videos. If so, they would be created using high-end cameras and lighting. This video was, for the most part, taken with my Iphone. :)
