Hey I’m on vertshock right now I’m on week 1 (doing day 7 today) and my vertical went up 1 inch in 5 days (from 29.5-30.5). I touched 10’7.5” and before vertshock I couldn’t get 10’6.5” (so maybe a 1.5” increase) I’ll let you know my results by the end of it. I would recommend the program if your a beginner that doesn’t do a lot of plyometrics (or just need a routine) it’s just the same couple exercises put into different workouts per day. Btw I’m 6’3, 8’1 reach and can dunk on a good day.
Yeah it’s gonna be a long year lmao. I’m hoping to get a better jump sesh after I play a game. Cause typically after a game I jump a lot higher compared to when I warmup just shooting and doing layups/mini jumps by myself.
@@austinfoster7482 Yeah I‘ve found that full court will kill my bounce but half court is the best warmup, sucks I can’t really hoop much since I’m not 100% healthy.
@@domidunks yeah definitely, and hey man atleast you’re not pushing it. I have a feelin I’m probably already going to hard. So I need to stop doing so and so
Thanks man😅 I’m just too eager to throw down. I should be focusing on taking it slow and working my way up with smaller balls again. Also seen the tennis ball vid dude. Your off vert is getting good
@@austinfoster7482 Yeah I remember the old girl ball vids 😂. You could even try and find a slightly lower rim but it’s not always easy to find. Yeah the weight room strength is translating for me, I managed to get a slightly bigger orange too!
@@domidunksfunny that u say that man there’s actually an adjustable hoop right next to it😅. Ik man you’re gettin some big numbers in the gym. I don’t think I could even deadlift 135. Also love to hear that man stay on that grind ofc.
@@austinfoster7482 Dang yeah then drop it to like 9’ 8” and rep it out! Haha then I think weight room would help you a lot, I’d take it slow though since you had those back issues.
@@domidunks yeah I really should and man I want to hit legs so bad, but rn I’ve still got terrible knees and been trying to deal with that. Once I do though I’ll for sure be doing that.
Thanks bro, it’s definitely not like it used to be, but I think I’ll be able to start jumping again. I just have to limit myself this time around and know when to stop.
@@austinfoster7482 yeah that’s how it was for me when I first came back, took me a while till I got back to normal. I still only jump once a week though sometimes two if I’m feeling good.
@@politalks1106 I never had access to a gym so I just solely worked on improving my jumping technique and maybe doing a few bodyweight exercise but I'm also pretty light so that's pretty helpful in jumping higher
i was always the tall kid with no vert lol. 6'1 in gr 8 and barely touched it with the tip of my fingers in my grade 8 summer. In gr 9, 6'2 and i could touch it with half of my hand. Decided to do sum squats and work out my legs more. now in tenth grade i can hand on rim with 1 hand. Im currently tryna do some plyometrics too. Man u got this u gonna dunk before u graduate!
Lol I did graduate brother I’m now a sophomore more in college. I was able to dunk my junior year and now I’ve got to many injuries 😔. But you’ll be dunking soon bro especially if your working on it, and I’m sure you’ll keep growing too, so stay at it bro.
