We are on a journey to pay off $100,000 worth of debt and regain control of our finances!! For the first 9 years of our marriage we were completely debt free. Around 2016, we began accumulating debt after walking through a number of significant life events (miscarriages, the birth of our two healthy children, postpartum depression, deaths of family members, buying and selling a house, addiction, and marriage struggles).

In January 2020 we came to our sense and are excited to be getting our lives back in order! We're sharing all the details here - real numbers from our monthly budgets, grocery hauls, previous years' excessive spending, and a little behind the scenes of our family life too. Our hope is that through sharing the journey we might help other people avoid making the same mistakes we did. We are excited to share all we learn along the way!
