I am Wick! I'm a full-time Amazon FBA and eBay Reseller. I do retail arbitrage, thrifting, garage sales, and liquidation to find products to sell online. I also do things like merch by Amazon, day trading, and affiliate marketing. I love the hustle and the thrill of treasure hunting thrift stores. Subscribe and see what it's all about!

5:05 Waring Pro Belgian Waffle Maker. Goes for $35-$90 depending on the model. Quick ebay image scan makes me think that one gets $45-$60, but I hear you about some of those unreasonably priced Goodwills. Wouldn't be surprised if they were charging too much to make the flip worth it.
Thanks a ton for this. I'll be on the look out. I started ebay about 60 days ago. I have a huge monster high doll collection NIB 2012-2015. They are flying off the self. I'm surprised at how much I enjoy this and want to continue. I appreciate the education!
It drives me crazy when sellers only put size of item and don’t measure ,so many brands have fluctuating sizes . As a seller it’s the one thing I make sure to add in my description . Mostly clothes and shoes seller and it is a slow long haul to find buyers but Iam in now and only thing I do is take something down and relist after a week with a differently explained header . It often works . Great ideas and video ,thank you.
I hate Amazon. Sold on there for years. My account is deactivated for going on a year. I honestly probably won't bother reactivating it. For the reasons you gave. Constant restrictions and policy changes.
My local salvation army thrift store is like 2 feet between each item. I rarely go there. The goodwill is almost as bad and very high prices. There is a church run store but only worth going when they first open Wednesday mornings if you get there 45 minutes early and get first in line.m which I do of course but dang.
When I go to the thrift I love the random industrial shelf, probably where you found the faucet. I find high value random items there more than other areas EVERYONE checks (shoes, media).
Question for you. Do you ever have stuff that doesn’t sell no matter how many time you list it or it’s listed for a long time with no takers? If so do you have your own yard sale or donate it back to get rid of it? I guess that’s two questions…
It's pretty rare I remove an item once I list it. I usually lower the price until it sells and I get my money back or at least a portion of it. Some things I decide to remove I just donate because they probably aren't worth trying to have a yard sale for.
Not sure what you mean by inflated. It cost the same doing free shipping and calculated. The difference is with calculated the buyer pays the exact amount based on their location and the dimensions of the item. With free shipping you pay the exact amount based on their location and weight etc. There is an eBay shipping discount that gets applied to both options. You can even set an option to pass the discount to the buyer.
Nice haul. I also just picked up a Gemmy animated door shrieker talking ghoul which will definitely make money. Btw, those are not just boots in the Halloween section, those are limited edition Witch shoes! lol.
I found a Star Wars sticker card holder at a thrift store yesterday full of new 70s cards . Didn't have a price i wanst aware of their policy and they took them at the register for Recirculation because they didn't have a price. Sold comps over 500. Ill go back monday see if i can find them
6:16 In the span of one year - ONE YEAR - I’ve watched several of my local thrift stores completely destroy themselves getting caught up in the reselling frenzy. It went from packed stores full of packed shelves w cool stuff priced fairly - to sparse shelves, overpriced garbage, and little to no foot traffic. I know people absolutely *adore* punching down and are quick to blame resellers, but gimme a break. The people running the stores are the ones pricing the items. Blame the people in charge for this insanity. Luckily, there are still Goodwill’s in my area that have dropped back into sanity with their pricing - but it really is something watching other stores slowly destroy themselves whilst seemingly completely inacabable of correcting course.
Thanks, Wick. I tried 2 years ago to get on Amazon with a hand lotion. After 3 weeks, and 2 different Amazon reps, I still didn't have approval. It was the most convoluted crap I've ever dealt with. That's when I went to Ebay.
Yup - it is no longer thrift pricing if they're matching eBay, which is more often than not. I do still beat them (Goodwill) from time to time on items.
You don't have to convince me, fed ex is criminal. I literally had 4 different expensive vintage wall clocks well packed double boxed they broke all four and said they'd only cover for one and they were all insured!!! Criminals all around!!! #BoycottFedEx
