I have the same model just the Dan Gurney dark blue version of this fine example of the Lola T70 that performed well in Can Am racing in the late sixties. Legendary drivers like John Surtees, Dan Gurney and Mark Donohue in addition to others successfully raced these Lola built cars with varying Detroit muscle Chevy and Ford V8 engines. The AJ Foyt version you have here is also very cool. Oh and I also have the Mark Donohue 1969 #6 coupe version. And to clarify on comments here, this was not just a Can Am race car but rather a FIA Group 9 later revised to Group 7 car. Group 7 was embraced by several series around the world, with the Sports Car Club of America running its United States Road Racing Championship for Group 7 cars from 1966 to 1968. Its Canadian-American Challenge Cup, better known as Can-Am, was also open to Group 7 cars from 1966 to 1974.
Nice model, looking at some of the detail you know it's not as good as cmc but you would need the two beside each other to judge, on to keen with the tape keeping the doors shut incase of scratching the paint removing them, nice video.
Strange that you are willing to disassemble the model and risk losing or damaging the individual parts yet you're anal about keeping the clear plastic straps because it adds value when it comes to a resale
Straps are staying in box model it self going on shelf to show the beauty of this model not like many people doing buying model and hiding in loft after forgetting and after years selling for nothing i m better gonna enyoy this model than storing somewhere where is this model not seenable value will not gonna reduce as in years this peaces getting more rare and difficult to find online
So the seller you bought the model off when the model was untouched sold it cheaply but after you've made it very used by taking it apart and getting it dusty and possibly losing screws etc. the model is going to be worth a small fortune, good luck with that. Do yourself a favour, leave it alone, just display it in the box
@@richardmoore3397 will be worf some day but unfortunately you will not gonna find out as this model is long time ago sold for 350 with all silicone straps in spotless condition as i m keeping all straps in boxes and in glass cabinets storing all models and if i m selling i m selling like new never touched and people buying and not complaining
Buy yourself a new one, dont buy scratched broken and missing parts like this guy, invest u will get your money back dont buy crap ,cheap , pay the extra and buy new!
Nice build. I built one too, for a client. Also I built the MB 163, Alfa P3, Lancia/Ferrari D50 and have more to build. The Revival kits are very old and I think computers weren't used in their design so they are not as spot on as newer CAD designs but they DO have their own Italian charm. Ciao.
