I just emptied my dpf and cat on my v70 w d5244t10. Mine sounds horrible after letting off on load. Its the normal diesel woo sound and another ugly whistle sound. How does your car sound?
@@skrattedieratte I dont think so. I'm starting to think the sound comes from the valve in the manifold closing or opening after the boost escapes. I'll try unplugging the vacuum line to see if i'm correct
@@danielalan7348 X Rohr statt mittlerem Schalldämpfer plus Vorschalldämpfer (Auspuff vor der Hinterachse) durch Rohre ersetzen. Zack, geukster Klang überhaupt.
@@danielalan7348 alles DIY. Gibt viele Standardteile. Glaube die Rohre und das X Rohr waren 2.25", aber nagel mich nicht drauf fest, das ist schon fast 10 Jahre her!
Thabks but it's actually just a glow plug issue. 2 of 5 are dead. It only occurs on a cold start which means the turbos are fine as well as the valve stem seals.
Ich kenne dich noch damals vom c30 forum. Ich habe meinen c30 d3 immer noch .der 5 zylinder Sound ist einfach nur herrlich 🤤🤤🤤. Mein c30 hat schon 325000 Kilometer aber bis jetzt kein Ende in Sicht. Wünsche dir viel Spaß mit dem D5 💪.🤝😁
Moinsen! Ja, da klingelt was. Schön zu hören, dass dein D3 weiterhin gut läuft. 325tkm ist schon mal eine Hausnummer. Da bin ich mit meinen 150tkm im V70 schon nicht schlecht dran... Mittlerweile bin ich autotechnisch echt gut rumgekommen :D Von Volvo über Jaguar und Fiat zu Volvo... Man sucht vergebens das was man gewohnt ist ;)
@@skrattedieratte 150tkm so zusagen neu 😅😅. Hatte vor 3 Monaten ein Reh erwischt 3500€ schaden. Ich hatte so eine Panik das es total schaden wird. Glück gehabt der c30 wurde auf 4700€ geschätzt. Online umgesehen was vergleichbares .Katastrophe was gebrauchte Jetzt kosten 😵💫.
@@GUFI84 da musst du echt aufpassen mittlerweile. Der Wertverlust ist eben bei Volvo immens. Mein C30 kostete damals 33.900 EUR neu, nach 200tkm und 8 Jahren wollte selbst Volvo nicht mehr als 3000 EUR zahlen - trotz vollem Scheckheft bei der gleichen Werkstatt... Da muss man teilweise echt regelmäßig Wertgutachten machen.
Hi, hast du beim Tüv Probleme bekommen oder fiel das nie auf? habe auch einen X308 und überlege, mehr Sound rauszuholen. Würde man nur mit einer X Pipe schon etwas merken? Hast du bei deinem Setup ein Dröhnen? Grüße aus OHZ
Moin aus mittlerweile HB. Nein, nur X Pipe bringt nichts. Wenn, dann musst du wirklich Schalldämpfer ersetzen. Bei meinem ehemaligen Setup (das Autobist seit 2018 bereits im Schrottplatz im Himmel. HUbwar kein Problem, auch wen der Prüfer schon recht interessiert aber nicht genug um da zu intervenieren. Der Poliezi hat es gefallen, ausser die Endrohre die etwas zu weit rausragten.
Agreed. Way too much force and effort were required to unplug that plastic connector that gives it power. Plastic being so unforgiving, I was sure I was going to break it. I changed out my upper and lower steering wheel covers.

Hey bud, could I get a picture of what you did? I'd like to get this done. I've seen your comment of the work done but I cannot visualise it! Have you replaced the centre resonator with an X Pipe, and removed the back boxes before the axle, but leaving the last two back boxes on the car?

That is a clamp removal tool. The modern spring loaded clamps need something like that. A pair of pliers so the job too, but they arent as easy to use.
sorry for the inconvenience but I see that you have practically disassembled everything that can be disassembled, I have the same model and a problem that maybe you can help me with, the front hood has a sensor to know when it is closed, my sensor was broken and not It has a cable so I cannot find where it was originally connected and I cannot repair it for that reason, it is located behind the right headlight next to the radiator, it is a black rubber button near the hinge, some models did not have it, I think it is the cause that when I try to close with the remote it does not close and a loud beep sounds, thank you!
Interesting to see your XJ-S is UK registered. Great pair of videos (if a bit sad 😞). Really enjoyable and you clearly know your way around an X308. I have just discovered the (now ancient) thread on your custom exhaust on jaguarforums and wonder what happened to the unique sections. Did you find buyers for them or have you still got them (unlikely after all this time). I have a 3.2 sport that I tinker with as well as a pristine ‘97 XK8 that already has a silencer deleted, big bore exhaust on. I don’t want the XJ to get as loud as the coupe, but a better burble for the tail wouldn’t go amiss! Thanks for a great pair of videos anyway and R.I.P. XJ8!
If U never have driven/been driven in a XJ Jaguar X308 , U cannot understand the Joy and Satisfaction. These XJ's are so Unique, because it is the only Super Sedan, were U sit as low as a Sportscar !
Respekt vor deinem Enthusiasmus Damian, bin mir sicher mit getrennten Bänken anstatt der X-Pipe hättest du nach MEINEM Geschmack mehr herausgeholt. Ich möchte lieber den Charakter eines Motors hervorheben als 2Ps mehr heraus zu Kitzeln. Ich weiß das du denkst die Zündfolge zu kennen aber guck sie dir mal an, er kann sehr wohl bollern und ich finde das steht ihm sehr gut. Meinst du ich kann bei einem 3.2er 2 Rohre in den MSD schieben um sie quasi zu trennen ohne Leistungsverlust ?
Die ZündFolge lässt auch ein Böllern zu, aber das war mit egal. Und die Bänke zu trennen würde NICHT den Charakter des Motors hervorheben. Viel mehr ruinieren, weil ein US V8 Sound bei einen UK V8 wäre sowas wie Blasphemie.
