Man my vocabulary is very low so this was intimidating. I am a Black Hispanic female and I think the low vocabulary has to do with the Hispanic side of me because my first language was Spanish until I finally learned English and now put Spanish second. I am not going to let the fear of big vocabulary words frighten me from becoming a PA because my medical terminology vocabulary are actually stronger than regular English vocabulary. But great job!
My advice to you is read a lot of books! In different genres like stuff you enjoy reading and stuff that you don’t . Practice writing the words you didn’t understand reading and know the definition and enunciation. If you improve your reading and writing skills you will improve your vocabulary. Lastly, I recommend practicing taking the GRE (basic reading, writing and math test) and take it when your ready . Also don’t be afraid to use big words that you are confident saying and knowing. It’s okay to make mistakes and be authentic while doing it! They have seen so many people with different backgrounds and experiences don’t let other people intimidate you about the PA interview. Be the best person you can be !
Can I say my biggest weakness was hesitation to interact with english people when i arrived into this country as english is not my first language and i could not understand their accent. With i have improved and now I can communicate effectively with anyone.
She does have a calming voice, which reflects in her calm demeanor during a crisis or a code. I like the smile in her eyes, too. She seems very personable, and would make a fantastic clinician.
I have completed my undergrad as a physician assistant at an Indian accredited university. Now I'm looking to do a postgraduate diploma or master's in physician assistant. I need to know what the criteria are for an international student. Is there a master's degree or a postgraduate diploma available at your university? I have enclosed my certificates. Kindly evaluate them and give me a suggestion to do my master's or PGD diploma degree. I would like to do PANCE (Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination) . Is that possible? I knew I couldn't sit for pance. However, I would like to do it. What could I do to be an NCCPA candidate? Are there any options? Did one of the IAPA candidates suggest to me that if you do any PGD diploma or master's related to your undergrad, then you can sit for PANCE (Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination)? Please help me to do it.
The medical staff are working really hard. I really admire you for trying hard to save and treat your patients' lives. Nevertheless, it's a pity that there are people who sometimes interfere with treatment. I'll always cheer for you!
I really love this! I am a pre nursing student but becoming a PA is the further learning I want to take. I feel like this will help me quite a bit when it comes for interviews for that first interview to a hospital. Definitely will be taking some of these strong points and incorporating them for myself into future interviews for the healthcare field.
I am worried, there is nothing I can do for my GPA. I already graduated with a BS in Biology. I want to go to PA school but my GPA will not let me even be considered for continuing with the process. I've been rejected by several schools. I'm trying to get a good score on my GRE in hopes of making the cut. Other than that I don't know what else to do. I am working in the medical field and getting my hands-on patient care and knowledge. I just don't know what else to do.
There are post-bacc programs that allow you to take science courses in which you can do well in. You could also get a master’s and get good grades in those to show that you’re determined about PA and can handle the rigorous course load.
You could retake the courses. You could take a post-bacc pre med pathway for 2 years. You could work as an ER tech or paramedic or EMT. You could do an accelerated nursing program and work as a nurse for a couple of years first. Life is long.... i'm 31 and just now thinking of applying to PA school myself. I was also thinking of applying at age 24, but... i realize now I wouldnt be as prepared if I took it then. There was such a mad rush. A mad frsntic rush to "grow up and have a career". I didnt become a nurse until i was 28. So... there's time. And then you work and see patients at the age of 20 seeking detox or whatever... or patients age 45 in a deep depression. Life. Is. Long. Be patient. Be persistent. Remain hopefull.
@@MrSlicknick70828 I work as an EMT in the ED for over 17yrs. I'm thinking of just going the nursing route even though it'll take me a long time to get to the NP. If I go that route. I"m 52yrs old and time is my enemy. I don't want to be the sorry sap who went in too late, lol. But I'm looking into that route because of my GPA.
@@johnguillen68 in my accelerated second bachelors there was a student who went in at 50. She now works cardiac ICU. Amazing. Amazing person. And you will be too! You can do it. You may have to work harder in some areas- but I'm sure you'll absolutely crush the clinical. Keep at it. Just keep at it. It's a journey. Focus on the journey. Maybe that's RN to NP. Or RN to FNP to FNP-ED specialization.(if that's what you would like). Julia Child started her cooking show at 50. I know of someone who is in her late 50's and applying to PA school. So long as your senses are in tact and your mind is sharp and you still have the right fight and attitude- you will get there.
Is there a time limit you recommend for this question? Maybe 3-5 minutes or is that too long? I want to explain why PA and give a bit of my background as to how I decided on PA. However, I don't want my answer to be too long winded.
ECG RHYTHMS : ACCELERATED JUNCTIONAL RHYTHM. RATE: 60-100 PER MINUTE, P:QRS RATIO: NONE OR 1:1 IF ANTEGRADE OR RETROGRADE. I VISITED KCC MALL DE ZAMBOANGA :) IT'S SO OBVIOUS, IT'S DR. KATHLEEN VALENTON AZURIN :) EVEN THE SALON'S, THE MANICURIST/PEDICURIST ARE COVERED.
Not ONE channel helps the foreign medical graduates who want to become a PA in USA. I repeat.. NOT ONE. I had my interview today and they asked me things that are NO WHERE. Please if you can, try to help foreign graduates too. Thank you
Hey , anyone can say the clear difference between working in US by clearing usmle and by PA exam So when we are eligible to give PA exam and and what is the course duration and other important things.....iam confused 😅.....
That's- no. That's ST depression, not bradycardia. The rate looks completely normal, in fact it even looks a little fast in my opinion. I know this is like, 5 years old, but I just want to point that out- look up a picture of st depression and you'll get something like this
Thanks for all the kind encouraging comments y’all! I can’t overstate how helpful this mock interview with Sarah was for PA school interviews. I even used some of the tips she gave as I interviewed for PA jobs, and know they helped me get a job I can’t wait to start😄 good luck on your interviews, you’ve got this!
I honestly want to see a candidate that had a hard time and received more constructive criticism during the interview. Don't get me wrong, this video was great, however, I am nowhere nearly polished as this individual and it would be nice to have someone I can relate to.
😂😩 she was wonderful! I’m in the medical field 8 years and still wouldn’t have answer these questions nearly as perfect as her. Very beautifully spoken!
